UK Govt. Committee Finds Murdoch ‘Not A Fit Person’ To Lead Company

rupert-murdoch-evil-hornRupert Murdoch receives the pie in the face he was about to experience before Tiger Mom wife Wendy Deng saved him last year, and this one is going to hurt a whole lot more. Via the Guardian:

Rupert Murdoch is “not a fit person” to exercise stewardship of a major international company, a committee of MPs has concluded, in a report highly critical of the mogul and his son James’s role in the News of the World phone-hacking affair.

The Commons culture, media and sport select committee also concluded that James Murdoch showed “wilful ignorance” of the extent of phone hacking during 2009 and 2010 – in a highly charged document that saw MPs split on party lines as regards the two Murdochs.

Labour MPs and the sole Liberal Democrat on the committee, Adrian Sanders, voted together in a bloc of six against the five Conservatives to insert the criticisms of Rupert Murdoch and toughen up the remarks about his son James. But the MPs were united in their criticism of other former News International employees…

Rupert Murdoch, the document said, “did not take steps to become fully informed about phone hacking” and “turned a blind eye and exhibited wilful blindness to what was going on in his companies and publications”.

The committee concluded that the culture of the company’s newspapers “permeated from the top” and “speaks volumes about the lack of effective corporate governance at News Corporation and News International”…

Ahhhh… what a fitting shot of Murdoch with the devils’s horns! AHAAHAA!

Yes, the accidental horns are hillarious.

But I see a serious business opportunity here as well.  Rupert should look on this sequence of events not as the beginning of the end of his conglomerate media empire, but the start of a fresh new career in professional wrestling and as an edgy anti-hero in a series of D.C. Comics:  “Murlock the Malevolent”.  Somebody just put a Dracula cape on that guy already!

I’m sure that all this novelty will be a huge boon to his and Wendy’s sex lives, too.  Living on the edge is such an aphrodisiac.  Can a Kardashian Productions video tape be far off?

Life begins at 80, so they say.  Or 150, or 310.  Whatever age that dessicated old mummy is.

See the new shot of his hands? Me thinks the Lizard covering needs to be refitted.

  3. Lolz!  He has hornz!

        “Excuse me?

Trotting out the “Dotty Old Fool” defense will not suffice.

Not for the most ruthless man on the planet.”

  5. and once the officials bash him, not saying he doesn’t deserve most of what he’s getting, but that puts attention to their also shady lobbyists

  6. This has a lot more to do with his personnel having the brass balls to wiretap power players than it does with his running a shady neo-con pulp factory. The truth is that he burned a lot of bridges when Fox started thinking it was entirely above the law and above mere parties. When you think you’re more influential  than the heaviest hitters…you should be ready to take some hits. What really remains to be seen is if this will change anything in terms of UK tolerance of Fox news. If they want to look like more than toothless lapdogs…they should boot the whole company out of all UK affiliated nations. naturally…I doubt they’ll do that…but it sure would be nice.

The real question is while one ‘hand’ of the UK government is pinning some rightfully deserved crap on Murdoch what is the other ‘hand’ doing.  Most likely not anything good at all.

The question is how much longer those government committee members be employed.  Murdoch got rid of Sean Hoare really quick.  I guess that all depends on much dirty laundry they’ve got on him.  Murdoch and his goon squad are going to have to figure some other way for these guys to disappear or be discredited.  ‘Accidental’ drug and alcohol overdoses, mysterious car or skiing accidents have all been played out.

  8. Rupert Murdock is a cunt, and getting reckless in his old age. The other apes are using this opportunity to take the old silver back down. It’s a bunch of monkey business if you ask me.

He’s ‘not a fit person’ to lead a game of follow the leader—which, incidentally, is all he does with his media empire. Straight to economic ruination prosperity and enslavement happiness!

“We’re following the leader, the leader, the leader; we’re following the leader, wherever he may go!”

I like the horns on his head in that picture. Coincidental irony.
