Refreshing to hear someone telling it like it really is for a change.

no one tells it like it is, they tell it like they think it is

Nah. He’s telling it like it is.

what “is” is unknowable you cannot see an event without your own experiences or desires changing your perception of it, you say he is telling it like it is because you like what he is saying. it’s the same reason people think MSN or  fox news tells it like it is, because they like the viewpoints expressed and being told they are right makes them happy

Exactly! I can’t stand people who claim they “tell it like it is” because they only tell it like THEY think it is. I don’t know why this concept is so difficult to grasp. People who “tell it like it is” are typically assholes who think they’re smarter than everyone else without a shred of evidence to support that theory.

Good man, thanks for speaking out. Read “War is a racket” by Maj. Gen Smedley Butler, 70 years of lies and people still believe the shit they are spoon fed by the 1%

Damn right. Goff is in the tradition of honest, thoughtful military men that had the sense and courage to wake up and speak truthfully about their experiences in the US military. And now in publicly protesting US foreign policy and the true use of the military he is being a defender of the Constitution.

Totally depressing. He sounds defeated in the video. Like someone who seen it all done it all but doesn’t understand why it happens and is still happening. Its just sad. I don’t think it is possible to fully understand the violent mentality of human kind.

    •  I’d feel defeated too, if I’d joined the army and killed on someone’s orders for no good reason. I feel bad for the guy, and I’m glad he’s telling his story.

I have a lot more sympathy for him than those fucknuts hanging on trees shouting “USA! USA!” last May when Osama was killed.

he sounds like he started out as a true believer and got smacked down by reality, true believers are never treated well by life

I hope anyone who is thinking of joining the military sees this testament from “one who has been there” and makes a conscious  decision of what they are about to do with their lives…My father on his death bed wished that he hadn’t of done the things that he did in WW2….all those horrible memories and actions came to him on those final days with a vengence….he told me that the cancer he was enduring was a penance from God for what he did….I told him that it was war and Hitler was a madman…He said that only a madman would send their sons to war to die no matter what side they are on.

Thank you for sharing your experience.  I hope the bravery displayed to join the armed forces can be turned towards the real enemies of the Constitution, the politicians, and transnational ‘elitist’s’  who would indefinitely detain American’s to perpetuate their illusory war on terror.  The Veterans and currently enlisted men and women are with Ron Paul overwhelmingly.  No more human sacrifice for the so called ‘elite’.  Let them fight their own wars. We need our soldiers to stand up for our liberties at home against those who wish to en$lave humankind as eternal serfs in the incipient nwo global plantation.

  5. what they are doing with the military is not defending, its attacking in multiple fronts.

This is probably one of the greatest videos I’ve ever seen. It’s a truth you don’t get to hear very often for obvious reasons, and because of that, a lot of folks are blinded to the reality. And it’s spoken more clearly and pointedly than anyone else I think could have said it! If you read Howard Zinn’s ‘peoples history of the united states’, he talks about the point I believe Stan is making here. It’s as if the world Zinn documented on paper has come to life on film, very cool!

  7. awesome video. spread this around peeps

Damn, to think I was >< this close to joining after high school… What a strange road I've found myself on.

    Truth cannot be denied.
Yet telling the truth, hearing the truth has become criminal.
    Go figure.

A real sobering and sad video, and so true. Its even sadder that the kids that are wanting to go over seas and kill are wanting the thrill that are now growing up on, which is playing these moronic video games created by the U. S Marines and Army. We have new generations of retards going over to these countries that have no feelings of remorse or emotion, just trained chimps that are rewarded by the feeling of killing. so sad.
