Antonin Scalia On Bush vs. Gore: ‘Get Over It, He Would Have Lost Anyway’

Piers Morgan at least pushes U.S. Supreme Court Justice Scalia a little, but if you’ve ever read the work of Greg Palast, you know it’s patently untrue that George W. Bush would have won the 2000 U.S. Presidential election without the help of Scalia and his conservative cohorts on the Supreme Court bench.

God, he is such a scumbag. Is he probably the worst SCOTUS judge ever?

I think he’s got competition from Clarence and Samuel.

Antonin at least goes through the motions of trying to justify his opinions, though they’re couched in a fundamentally flawed premise (which he sticks to only when it’s convenient).
Clarence seems oblivious, votes either based on what Antonin says or on a call from some ideological think tank, and when he bothers to write something it come across as just being mean.
Samuel seems to have the mean streak of Clarence.

I think this may be the least competent court in US history.

This is what Robert Anton Wilson (& Timothy Leary) would call a “Reality Tunnel.” An emblematic term for the world-view glasses we all wear. Scalia lives in the Reality Tunnel defined by his assumptions – as we all do.

One minor point to consider is that some “Reality Tunnels” stand up to critical/contextual scrutiny better than others.

I’m not sure who this “Bush” fellow is. Perhaps my mind has sealed these memories off due to some sort of trauma. I recall a dolt in a badly fitted suit, and little else.

Scalia admits that the system is rigged.

If I were President, my first order of business would be to ask for Scalia’s resignation due to dereliction of duty on this case and countless others.  If he refused, I’d begin impeachment proceedings immediately.  A truly reckless human being.

If you were president, the first thing you would do is to bow down to the corporate overlords who bestowed the puppet status upon you and do as you’re told!

      • It is what America was built on!  …At least, that is what my Texas-approved history textbooks told me…

        •  In the Texas-approved version of history, man walked hand in hand with his dinosaur brethren, and had a personal relationship with the Supreme Commandant / Intelligent Designer of the Universe.

And his son, George W. Bush, who came to us disguised as a frat boy with a drinking problem.

         well, AFTER that!

    • On what grounds is he to be impeached?  Hold on, let me get some popcorn cooking, this should be good.

What an ignorant, lying douche flute. If Katherine Harris hadn’t illegally purged votes from Florida, he would most assuredly have won.

  8. yeah, the guy’s a stooge
and he was just a pawn

    if you haven’t already
watch this edited version Electoral Vote Count
and you’ll see clearly that the fix was in at the highest level

Gore was President of the Electoral College
all the College needed was one Senator & one Congressperson to object
and everything would have come to a Constitutional halt
    no Supremes Court was necessary

    I saw that vote live
    and after that
I never believed the lying cocksuckers ever again
and I knew for sure the fix was in

Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire!!!   This is part of the live joke we have called a Supreme Court.

  10. Scalia is either lying or stupid. Gore won all the full recounts. He only lost the partial recount that he had asked for.

  11. The word “scalia” should be a new curse word of some sort, a putdown.

The pt initially presented with a 7cm bilateral testicular scalia with multiple transecting tunneling fistulas of the rectum, prostate and sacrum and acute onset of Cauda equina syndrome.  Spinal tissue biopsy revealed Wallerian-like axonal degradation and +HP10 serum assay. Parasitic infestation post 7 days as evidenced by diffuse cystic lesions throughout the anterior corticospinal tract.
Pt reports attending an “oral-to-anal/tea-bagging” function corresponding w/ this timeframe.
Report to CDC multiple exposure incident for Neurocysticercosis infestation
