Montana Man Struck And Killed While Attempting To Create Bigfoot Sighting

Tamper with the world of legends and pay the price. Via USA Today:

A man who was apparently trying to provoke reports of a Bigfoot sighting in northwestern Montana was struck by two cars and killed, authorities said. Flathead County officials identified the man as Randy Lee Tenley, 44, of Kalispell.

The man was wearing a military-style “Ghillie suit” consisting of strips of camouflage fabric and was standing in the right-hand lane of a highway south of Kalispell on Sunday night when he was hit by the first car, according to the Montana Highway Patrol. A second car hit the man as he lay in the roadway, authorities said.

“He was trying to make people think he was Sasquatch so people would call in a Sasquatch sighting,” trooper Jim Schneider told the Daily Inter Lake newspaper on Monday.

Finally, a Bigfoot post that I’m not responsible for. 😉

Stand in the street, get run over. Cause and effect.

    Okay, but did it work?

  4. And enter the study of humans running over animals/road kill with no concern :p

This reminds me of a certain Family Guy episode where Brian kills another dog and try’s to cover it up. Then he finally breaks from the guilt and gathers everyone to explain what he did. He tells them what happened and then tells Joe to handcuff him. Everyone begins to laugh and mock him because he only killed a another dog, not a human.

Clearly the gods of the Sasquatch were not pleased.

Problem was he was wearing a ghillie suit– no one could see him; should have worn an ape suit.

  7. That’s no sasquatch, that’s fuckin’ Swamp Thing!

It would have been better if he had gotten mauled by a sasquatch, and some one had gotten it on film.

Many stories can be improved by the inclusion of one or more individuals mauled by Sasquatch. I suggest we begin testing with media coverage of the RNC.

  9. The idea that he wanted to create a false sighting is not supported by any evidence. He might have been hiding, doing surveillance and was hit while crossing the street. They’ve given no evidence as to his motive, the cops just said it.

  10. No where does it give evidence he was trying to impersonate big foot. He could of been a veteran or just a crazy person since access to a ghillie suit it easy. I think the fact that he got run over the second time is sick. I can’t stand seeing dead animals on the side of the road when i drive. People are just stupid.

More idiots should consider playing in the road.
