A couple of Maryland police officers have been caught on video using the buddy system to beat a helpless, handcuffed suspect. The police department has launched an internal investigation. Any guesses on the outcome?

A police officer in Laurel, Maryland is under investigation after a witness came forward with video of him repeatedly striking a handcuffed man in the head.

Craig Reddix provided NBC Washington with video he shot outside the Laurel Station Bar and Grill, where police were responding to reports of a fight on Sunday.

The video shows two white officers escorting a handcuffed African-American man. One officer can be seen holding the suspect’s arms while the other strikes his head at least three times. It’s wasn’t clear from the video if the officer stuck the man with an open or closed hand.

They should be prosecuted with the strictest observance of the law for such a cowardly act.  They should all be fired never to hold public office again, & sued for their possessions to re numerate the victim accordingly.

In my 45yrs, living in NYC and NC I have never heard of Black Cops beating on white people. It’s always the other way.  Never mind getting caught, if a Black Cop was accused of beating a white person he would do time in prison.

    The video is already gone.

It sure is…hmm. I’ll try to find another video.

The person that filmed the beating will probably be arrested.

The cops will be suspended for a few days, but their union will have it overturned at arbitration and the cops will be fully compensated for those days.

I’m glad the man who was interviewed and who filmed this made a point to clarify that it doesn’t matter whether it was a slap or punch. He stated the person was subdued and in hand cuffs. Extra hits aren’t required at that point. Excellent point.

Where’s the courage and outrage among the police administration and the prosecutor and the courts?

If I were a judge I’d let it be known: if you’re a cop and you EVER abuse your authority or power on a civilian, I WILL SEND YOU TO PRISON. No excuses, no bullshit, no worming out of it. You do NOT violate ANYONE’S civil rights, PERIOD.

Sadly, what we have instead is a batallion of chickenshit motherfuckers.
