Thousands of people surrounded the Spanish parliament on Tuesday, squaring off against half of the country’s total riot police force, in an attempt to shut down the government in response to the latest round of social cuts made in the name of fiscal austerity:

These cops and protesters remind me of the Morlocks and Eloi in HG Wells’ “The Time Machine”. The way that they just jump out and grab people at random and haul them off is super-creepy.

American protests are too pussy shit for this level. If this were the US, it would just be a bunch of i phones, while people would get hauled away, without any fellow protesters trying to help them.
