World’s Richest Woman, A Mining Heiress, Says Poor People Need To Work Harder

Also they need to drink, socialize, and complain less, and accept lower wages. She has praised paying African miners two dollars per day as a model for Australia to follow. Last year, she made $2 million per hour. Via Mother Jones:

Australian Gina Rinehart, reportedly the world’s wealthiest woman, has a message for you poor people: “Don’t just sit there and complain. Do something to make more money yourself—spend less time drinking, or smoking and socializing and more time working.”

Pray, what does Rinehart do for a living? She is a “mining heiress.” Rinehart’s wealth is derived from a family trust and an executive position in a mining company she inherited from her father after his death in 1992. Since then, she’s kept very busy—pouring her wealth into conservative causes and political front groups she helped set up.

She recently tried to import cheap visa workers after unionized Australian miners asked for a competitive wage. Rinehart’s fortune reportedly increases by $52 million Australian dollars a day. And she’d really like you to get off your lazy ass and pull your weight, please.

  1. the ‘humans are brain damaged’ idea making anymore sense yet?

Yeah that makes some sense. Maybe our brains were once symbiotic with fruit and now they are controlled by grains, sugar and candida. Which explains rule by elites, which you wouldn’t need with fruit eaters.

You know, I often have a hard time making out where you’re coming from.  Some things you say appear to be out of sheer delight in their perversity, but that statement of yours above seems fairly insightful.

The consensus seems to be that the most brutally coercive forms of government were institutionalized in conjunction with the spread of agriculture–which both required a far more regimented workforce to sustain and increased population densities to critical levels as compared to previous economic paradigms.

           Maybe I am just a misunderstood genius….

I’ve actually given the above premise a lot of thought. I think a good analogy are ants. Ants are always becoming zombified by one parasite or another, usually a fungus, but also, flukes, fly larvae and other things. They seem to have a weakness for mind control.

So what do Humans have in common with ants? Oh, nothing really, except division of labor and agriculture. So I was thinking about the modus operandi of leaf cutter ants and their symbiosis with the fungi they cultivate creates a pathway that leaves them vulnerable to being co-opted by parasites.

So maybe with the leaf cutter ants the fungi is controlling their brains as well but in a more “benevolent way”

Shades of Terrence McKenna’s “conversation with a mushroom”

Well, “genius” and “madness” and whatnot.

Of course, while it may be rare to find genius without some degree of madness, there is nothing more common than madness unredeemed by any hint of even adequacy.

    • Are you referring to Rinehart or all the people who hate and disagree with her?

  2. cakey pig | Sep 7, 2012 at 11:09 am |

    Fat fucking attention-seeking corporate slug.

  3. Antediluviancurrent | Sep 7, 2012 at 11:11 am |

Somebody please Robespierre her fat rich ass.

  4. David Plumer | Sep 7, 2012 at 11:20 am |

O.K.  Gina Rinehart, I will try harder. Just a thought though, when the revolution comes, I think you are going to be one of the first stood up in front of the wall. Good luck with that. Maybe you’ll be able to hire someone at $2 an hour to get you out of it.

  5. So poor people should work harder to make money, while she inherited the wealth she has and doesn’t work for a dime of the millions she brings in each day?

  6. Liam_McGonagle | Sep 7, 2012 at 11:50 am |

FEEL the Hatred, Gina . . . Let its black velvety embrace engulf your soul . . .

You know nobody ever loved you or ever will.  Be realistic:  you’re a swine.  You were BORN a swine.  It’s not right, it’s not wrong.  It just IS.  It’s nature.

And now you’re RICH.  There’s no reason to keep pretending any longer, hiding behind the phony facade of public niceties while others are free to vent their revulsion–their jealousy-at you in the wide open.

Now you can make EVERYONE ELSE suffer . . . .

  7. Poor people need to work harder stealing her stuff.

  8. She doesn’t need to work hard because her father worked hard enough to leave her with plenty. If your parents didn’t then blame them not her, then either work hard enough to leave your kid with something or shut up

    • Nunzio X | Sep 7, 2012 at 1:29 pm |

Your parents didn’t work hard enough on birth control measures.

    • Antediluviancurrent | Sep 7, 2012 at 1:39 pm |

      Oh the wonder of meritocracy!

      • Meritocracy is fine, but measuring “merit” by the hoarding of tokens of exchange is extremely counterproductive.

        • Liam_McGonagle | Sep 7, 2012 at 1:51 pm |

Yeah.  First commitment in creating any social paradigm should be to sustainability.  Exalting individuals at the risk of exterminating the entire species “ought” to have been out of the question.

          • Ted Heistman | Sep 7, 2012 at 3:07 pm |

Do you want there to be a class of bureaucrats  in charge of all the money and doling it out according to what they deem to be fair?

How do you see things changing?

          • Liam_McGonagle | Sep 8, 2012 at 12:16 pm |

No.  I think there ultimately needs to be a wider cultural recognition that these mortal shells we go walking about in are, in fact, mortal, i.e., “limited”, i.e., “not to be the exclusive focus of all our attentions”, i.e. “sure to disappoint us if we ask too much of them”.

A massively depopulating global plague of a particularly gruesome and painful character might be a good start.  It could cut down the overall cultural evolutionary time to less than 10,000 years.

more accurately her parents were psychopathic, thieving criminals who stole the land and murdered the rightful owners

  9. Anarchy Pony | Sep 7, 2012 at 12:09 pm |

    SHE’S A JOB CREATOR! YOU’RE ALL COMMUNISTS!

  10. She just repeats what any neoclassical economics textbooks say. She made $2 mln. per hour, and Milton Friedman got his Nobel Prize. Neoclassical economists make life of wealthy elite more pleasurable, that is why they are paid by financial oligarchy to write their neoclassical crap. They both need each other. One mafia. Both are amoral.

  11. Calypso_1 | Sep 7, 2012 at 12:30 pm |

She looks like she eats a lot of cake.

  12. VaudeVillain | Sep 7, 2012 at 1:11 pm |

Yeah, poor people can get rich by working harder and making less money… THAT MAKES SENSE.

I support boycotts, strikes and acts of sabotage against her commercial properties. If she thinks that is all it takes, then she should have no problem with replicating the effort for all to witness.

  13. Nunzio X | Sep 7, 2012 at 1:30 pm |

I agree with her, in that poor people need to work harder on unionizing themselves, then storming the mega-mansions of the rich.

  14. CosmicAmazing | Sep 7, 2012 at 1:33 pm |

    Ewwwwwww…

Everything about this women is revolting. http://www.angryhipster.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/GINA_RINEHART.jpg

I can’t tell if I hate her because she is a snobby Zillionaire Heiress, or because she is a snobby Zillionaire heiress that looks like she’s actually a waitress at Denny’s.

A lot of rich people are Tall, Physically fit, well dressed and poised. I can’t help being intimidated by those types. When I come across those people…like Say when I get lost in the woods mountain biking and end up inside a big Gated Community with fucking huge mansions on Beautiful lakes I can’t help feeling like a bit of a peasant. I start seeing all these Signs that say “Brockenhurst Estate” and crap like that it gives me the Willies.

If I saw her out taking a stroll I’d think I’d ended up in a trailer park. I wonder if that explains the hate?

When I look at this rich Heiress I just figure she’s a reptilian shapeshifter and all is as it should be:

  17. …and she needs to eat less and exercise more. but who’s to judge? what a bitch, i bet she hasn’t worked a day of her life. inheriting part of a business doesn’t make you a hard worker. i garauntee she would get fired from mcdonalds

  18. DeepCough | Sep 7, 2012 at 7:57 pm |

““Don’t just sit there and complain. Do something to make more money yourself—spend less time drinking, or smoking and socializing and more time working.”

Just by looking at her picture, you could tell she was a white slave owner in a past life.

  19. Haystack | Sep 7, 2012 at 8:41 pm |

The working class, as the name implies, are the ones who do the actual work. Fat cats like her merely reap the benefits, while giving as little as possible in return, and somehow imagine that society owes them something; that we should all be grateful and give them tax breaks because they “created” a two shitty jobs where once there was a single good one. They’re heroes in their own minds.

I don’t want their money; I just don’t want to have to listen to their smug, self-congratulatory bullshit anymore. We work hard so that you can stuff you face–can you just do us the courtesy of not speaking with your mouth full?

  20. Work to live, don’t live to work.

  21. She is just ignorant! Maybe she should get off her fat a$$ and work. Not everyone can be lucky enough to inherit a job and a fortune. Also if she’s that rich she can afford to pay her employees!

  22. Please help animals if you don’t like humans…..thank you

  25. “Do something to make more money yourself—spend less time…”     working on me?

  26. “There is no cartel on acceptable a millionaire,” Gina Rinehart wrote in
Australian Resources and Investment magazine. “If you’re anxious of
those with added money, don’t just sit there and complain. Do something
to accomplish added money yourself – absorb beneath time drinking, or
smoker and adorning and added time working.

  27. lol, who in the world can take this morbidly obese self entitled cunt with any amount of seriousness.  Maybe someone should make her work in one of the mines where she uses slave labour.   These elitists peices of shit need to all be murdered, every last one of them.

  28. justmy2sens | Sep 20, 2012 at 12:48 am |

She needs to spend some of her money on a treadmill.  And pull my weight?  I could but I don’t think I could pull her fat ass.  What an ugly, ugly individual both on the inside and out.

  29. Power Of Green | Nov 21, 2012 at 11:45 am |

She looks sad and I looked her up and she’s sick a lot.. maybe there is something that money can’t buy… anyway she not smart enough to make her living and lead free people so whatever

  30. She’s a psychopath! And defines herself as one through her words and actions. People who lack the ability to empathize are psychopaths and they litter the Conservative landscape.

  31. tesmith47 | Apr 11, 2014 at 2:09 am |

money from mines on land stolen from other people, truly there is no justice in the world.
