Obama Rep. Schultz on The NDAA and Secret Kill List

Last night at the presidential debate at Hofstra University, Luke Rudkowski got a chance to talk to Obama’s representative congresswomen Debbie Wasserman Schultz in the Spin Room.

    Luke, did you really think she would seriously answer such a question?  I mean c’mon.  No one has ever answered these sorts of questions for you.  I don’t honestly see the point.  I mean no one is going to cover you asking such questions either.  Is this just material for Alex to rant about?  How will this accomplish anything?

      A better question would be how not asking anyone about such things would accomplish anything.

        Okay, a better thing to do would be to encourage people to contact their Congressmen and women.  They consider 1 phone call/letter/telegram/email as statistically representative of approximately 1300 dissatisfied constituents.  If they get enough of these communications they will address the issue for fear of trouble getting re-elected.

        If we watch Luke make these valiant but nonproductive video laser strikes on unsuspecting “bad guys” we feel like someone is doing something and we can go back to trying to get our individual ends to stretch together and meet.  We are placated by someone who has been and will remain marginalized into non action. 

        Do not get me wrong, I am a member of We Are Change and I feel that Luke is correct most of the time.  However, can we say that this sort of video ambush is actually getting us anywhere?  Can’t see it.

        Andrew, have you called your Congressional Representatives?  I have and do.

        The statistic cited in the first paragraph of this response can be used to our advantage very easily.  The NRA does it, and AARP uses it quite well.  But is this ever even suggested by Luke, or by Alex?  I wonder why.  Something to think about.
