Texas Man Arrested For Carving Pentagram Into His Son On 12/12/12 ‘Holy Day’

CNN reports a case with all the telltale signs of demonic possession, or the impending end of the world:

A Texas man appears to have interpreted the date of 12/12/12 as a reason to carry out a grotesque and sinister act. “I shed some innocent blood,” Brent Troy Bartel told a police dispatcher from the Fort Worth suburb of Richland Hills in a phone call just after midnight.

When the dispatcher asked him to clarify, Bartel responded in a matter-of-fact tone, “I inscribed a pentagram on my son…’Cause it’s a holy day.”

When police officers arrived at the home, they say they found the traumatized boy standing shirtless with a large red pentagram carved into the skin on his back. His blood was smeared on the front door of the house. They arrested Bartel, whose manner was flat and emotionless. What exactly may have motivated Bartel, who is being held in local jail on a $500,000 bond, remains unclear.

There’s nothing more lame than a Satanist paying homage to Christ by following the Christian calendar era.

    • Matt Staggs

Satanism cannot exist without the framework of Christianity. Even LaVey-an Satanism is a reactionary philosophy.

Once the bag of biblical crazy is opened, you never know what people will pull out. It is certainly lamentable that the “good” book is so chock full of genocide, child rape, torture, and blood sacrifice…

What year is it really? Dates only exist in our minds.

“Dates” only exist in the minds of a lot of people who spend all the time in the net….

You popped off a couple of great “one liners” in a row, there.

Well, as long as he didn’t do something like cut the end of his kid’s dick off for some sort of twisted religious ritual.

While I don’t recommend doing this at home, I have to wonder what would have happened if he’d carved a cross into his kid instead of a pentagram.
