Gun control will never apply to the people who protect the rich.

hes completely right about requiring people to have proper training. There is no reason licensing or permitting could not be initiated. Canada requires a possession and acquisition licence to possess a rifle or shotgun. In order to obtain a handgun you are required another licence for a restricted weapon. Both of these licences require background checks, mental health assessment, criminal check and reference checks from people you have known for at least three years. You must take a day long course and write an exam for each type of licence. Once obtained, you can walk into anywhere and purchase a gun or ammo instantly. Obviously like anything it can be taken advantage of but at least its something to ensure there is some training or guidance for people who posses these weapons.

Great idea, that way we’ll just label anyone who isn’t a die hard supporter of liberals a insane right wing radical. This is exactly what they want, gun registries just like hitler.

Does this seem familiar? From the pages of Milton William Cooper’s 1991 book Behold A Pale Horse:

“The government encouraged the manufacture and importation of firearms for the criminals to use. This is intended to foster a feeling of insecurity, which would lead the American people to voluntarily disarm themselves by passing laws against firearms. Using drugs and hypnosis on mental patients in a process called Orion, the CIA inculcated the desire in these people to open fire on schoolyards and thus inflame the anti-gun lobby. This plan is well under way, and so far is working perfectly. The middle class is begging the government to do away with the 2nd Amendment.”

    Sorry, I can’t watch this.

I don’t know whose idea it is to show a series of noisy 5-second clips from radically different times and places primarily filled with the interviewer’s own completely unrelated questions, accompanied by video that could be described as “filmed by a person with Parkinson’s riding a unicycle” and strung together with ugly cuts, but it’s a really bad format.

I realize that citizen journalism cannot possibly offer the slick high-budget production and post-production work of the corporate media, and I most certainly do not, but this is awful.

Oh, right, the point… who fucking cares? This is Michael Moore for shit’s sake, does anyone honestly value this man’s opinion, or care what he does? His purpose in life is pissing off idiotic right-wing blowhards with nothing better to do than spend hours bitching and whining about 35 seconds of a movie he made over a decade ago, a worthy cause to be sure, but the fact anyone else even cares what he says or does in 20 fucking 13 is mind boggling.

The message that a person who tells us how we should live is “too important” to live by the rules ALWAYS resonates. Like “environmentalists” who tell us we should always use public transit who get to their speeches by private jet. (unless that jet runs on biofuel) I’m sure you can come up with your list of right-wing equivalents.
