    I remember being disturbed by this when he was first making himself visible. I watched his eyes during this video and I don’t know what I see, but it doesn’t seem good. Like a person who has seen the outcome and knows it will fall on many a deaf ear. Or I don’t know what. Thanks for sharing.

      I agree, there is something haunting about this interview, beyond the topics discussed. I think that look in his eyes is from what he envisions for his nation in the foreseeable future. It’s similar to what I’d expect a man seeing his children being charged by a polar bear might look like. He knows getting in the way won’t help; but what choice does he have?

      I promoted this story on my Facebook and shared it on my wall. The silence is STAGGERING. The intended effect of the policies of torture and invasive surveillance is already in effect, assuming anyone even gives a shit enough to be afraid. #denial>truth

      Abby, you’re one of my heroes, but if you want this story to reach a wider audience, you’re going to have to put some pictures of kittens and snarky text up with this important information. Maybe if you censor the information to only criticize Republicans I can get someone to share it. /sarc

    I know right! It’s a good thing this story is no longer relevant. I mean, if the government was still torturing people, spying on its own citizens and flagrantly dismantling the foundation of our legal system, we would be in BIG trouble. We really dodged a bullet there.
