Sinkhole!

Like something out of a Charles Fort compendium, a huge sinkhole opened under the bedroom of a Florida man on March 1, effectively swallowing the entire room and everything – and everyone – in it. The family responded when it sounded like a car had crashed into the back of the house. Check out the video:

Could this thing be any more weird?
a sinkhole opens up under a bed and swallows an occupant named Bush
the hole is so big that they can’t find Bush
but it’s not big enough to swallow the house
and at the end of the day
it takes yer attention away from the fact
that your civil rights have disappeared in a sinkhole too

A lot of weird stuff going on here. No actual photos/footage of the hole? And 30′ wide?! That must’ve been one big ass bedroom! The crying brother isnt very convincing either and the best part is theyre just ripping the house down to fix it. “Thats it folks, we tore the house down and the hole disappeared. No need to worry, just get 100ft away and your good… LOL

you don’t know how sinkholes work do you?

          Enough with the magnets!

Not familiar with magnetosphere anomalies in earth moving events?

That there is some dubious science. Still it might turn out to have some validity if we perhaps had a quantum theory of gravity and understood dark matter a little more.

oh yes quite, I was just passing along some weirdness.

There’s been plenty of cross chatter in the fringe-science community related to the collapse (or rearrangement) of earths magnetic fields due to solar cycles, etc. some of which has made note of & suggested a connection to an increase in certain types of sinkholes.

having witnessed several tornadoes, I’ve always been intrigued by a notion that high-energy particles or exotic matter might somehow be connected to the formation of the vortices. It is already thought that cosmic rays trigger lightning.

I know how the news works. And all I see is a house with boarded up windows. Those are the only conclusions Im drawing…

I’m interested in hearing what you think is going on here.

Here’s a picture of the sinkhole:
      http://abcnews.go.com/US/florida-sinkhole-victims-brother-thinks-rescuers-couldve-harder/story?id=18649299

Here’s an interview with Jeremiah Bush, the brother, arguing that the authorities could have done more to rescue his brother.
      http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/03/04/sinkhole-home-florida/1961997/

Sinkholes are extremely common in Florida:

Demolishing the home is probably the safest thing to do under the circumstances. Apparently the structural integrity of the two neighboring homes has been compromised

Beats me, I dont like to make assumptions. Just saying some of the story seems off and the hole still remains to be seen. This guy has some interesting thoughts though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCMOKqIfsKk&feature=player_embedded

        …and just saw your links.

Everything else aside, look at the picture. Anyone who knows photoshop well should know whats up. Zoom in and look closely for yourself. Compare the cast shaddow vs “hole” and pixel consistency throughout. Anyway, just my opinion and all I’ll say here.

They mustve got the same guy who did the WH skeet shoot image to work on this.

Bogus. Floor boards would hold up. If it was a slab, rebar would hold up. Whole house would fall in or just be perched over it. A bed falling in sounds like the Simpsons movie.

I’ve decided that’s how I wana go now. DEATH BY SINK HOLE.

Nice to see all the comments y’all. We’re recording another Coincidence Control Network (http://sittingnow.co.uk/category/podcasts/ccn/) episode tomorrow and this is on the agenda. If we get around to discussing it I’ll be sure to give y’all and these thoughts a shout out! On the one hand, its odd that there is so little footage of the actual hole accompanying these reports. On the other, as a person living in the South, I can assure you that massive bizarre sinkhole accidents happen all the time. They’re just not usually so damn precise-seeming.

Also, it seems another sinkhole has opened about 2 miles from this one. Coincidence? Nature? http://www.wtsp.com/news/topstories/article/302137/250/Another-sinkhole-opens-up-in-Seffner

This one is in Louisiana, but it’s full of toxic chemicals. Folks are worried that it could eventually create a massive explosion that might create earthquakes on the New Madrid fault line. http://www.forbes.com/sites/williampentland/2013/03/03/toxic-sinkhole-threatens-southeastern-louisiana/
