GFoL – Message from Ashtar Command (UFO religion pt. 1)

Local ITV station Southern Television  gets hijacked at 5:10 PM on November 26, 1977 in the United Kingdom, ten years prior to the Max Headroom pirating incident in Chicago. Vrillon from  The Ashtar Command interrupts the report to share a chilling and hopeful message.

Transcript included on the next page

  • This is the voice of Vrillon, a representative of the Ashtar Galactic Command, speaking to you. For many years you have seen us as lights in the skies. We speak to you now in peace and wisdom as we have done to your brothers and sisters all over this, your planet Earth.
  • We come to warn you of the destiny of your race and your world so that you may communicate to your fellow beings the course you must take to avoid the disaster which threatens your world, and the beings on our worlds around you. This is in order that you may share in the great awakening, as the planet passes into a New Age of Aquarius. The New Age can be a time of great peace and evolution for your race, but only if your rulers are made aware of the evil forces that can overshadow their judgments.
  • Be still now and listen, for your chance may not come again.
  • All your weapons of evil must be removed. The time for conflict is now past and the race of which you are a part may proceed to the higher stages of its evolution if you show yourselves worthy to do this. You have but a short time to learn to live together in peace and goodwill.
  • Small groups all over the planet are learning this, and exist to pass on the light of the dawning New Age to you all. You are free to accept or reject their teachings, but only those who learn to live in peace will pass to the higher realms of spiritual evolution.
  • Hear now the voice of Vrillon, a representative of the Ashtar Galactic Command, speaking to you. Be aware also that there are many false prophets and guides operating in your world. They will suck your energy from you - the energy you call money and will put it to evil ends and give you worthless dross in return.
  • Your inner divine self will protect you from this. You must learn to be sensitive to the voice within that can tell you what is truth, and what is confusion, chaos and untruth. Learn to listen to the voice of truth which is within you and you will lead yourselves onto the path of evolution.
  • This is our message to our dear friends. We have watched you growing for many years as you too have watched our lights in your skies. You know now that we are here, and that there are more beings on and around your Earth than your scientists admit.
  • We are deeply concerned about you and your path towards the light and will do all we can to help you. Have no fear, seek only to know yourselves, and live in harmony with the ways of your planet Earth. We of the Ashtar Galactic Command thank you for your attention. We are now leaving the plane of your existence. May you be blessed by the supreme love and truth of the cosmos.

Those inclined to take that sort of thing seriously should remember: “To Serve Man” was a cookbook … and Aleister Crowley’s test for whether a message allegedly from “aliens” should be taken as such is “what does this tell you that can be verified in the real world that you did not already know?”

If the message from 1977 had mentioned a specific danger like global warming before it became public knowledge, I would find it of interest for reasons other than examination of a small group’s pathology.

    • Simon Valentine

or, that it does not tell us anything about verifiability i.e. that there are problems such that [“topic”] has not been shown to |not| be a problem which is easy (short time) to verify and difficult (long time) to, you know, actually solve. also, the problem that is anything of mermaids existing and that one cannot prove mermaids do not exist without a mermaid existing by which to prove what a mermaid is thus prove that mermaids do not exist e.g. are extinct. thus a possible inclination to see a life-trap, death-trap as the ‘solution’ to the ‘problem’ of identical conflicting opposite facts (or however you’d prefer to describe contradiction such that modus vivendi is the outcome … existence … whatever. BORING!)

and would the showing itself be the same problem.
yes, or it requires a translation into that which is proven.
currently it’s more like a translation out and away from religious brain wash mantra tango. fine with me.
      i know tech.

“..have but a short time..”? not ..”have only a small amount of time remaining..”?

going to read this cookbook more when i get the time, for now~
    signing off

    cookbook, mantra…yeah
    mana spellbook

anywho, the point is that the pot, kettle, kitchen, sink, and utensils are not only “only so sized” but also there’s the issue of the food and souls itself. yummy. so, examining again “but a short time”, it is a pot that has been said to hold only so many ramen noodles or so much rice or so and so much of both, all respective to the purported constant that is the size transpondent with the pot e.g. a short time.

cookery metaphors and spells inside, it is a reference again to big O notation. limits. tractability. “you can do this with what you have if ..”. if apophatic prophecy is ignored or put out like it was not dismissed like a dark templar.

anyway. when it come to pictureless pictures of food, i’d read Lord of Souls and previously The Infernal City, any day. Greg Keyes

I think the video taken as a whole including the visuals is a brilliant piece of art. The visual output being the unplanned product of the processes initiated by the hacker just makes it all the more cool. Bugs Bunny making an appearance is perfect, he was the first alien abductee after all (as revealed to us by RAW).

  • BuzzCoastin

Why didn’t god think of something like that?

that way wee’d all know who the one true gog was

If the extent of Ashtar’s technology is to use a directional radio jammer to barely compete for signal strength with a low-powered UHF station for a couple minutes, I don’t think we have much to worry about.

    • BrianApocalypse

The signal strength appears weak because it’s so hard to transmit through the “Fiction Barrier”.

    they’re messing up my cartoons….

Why doe Vrillon have a British accent? Methinks he stole the name from Bulwer-Lytton
