Obama Says That Legalizing Marijuana Is Not A Possibility

legalizing marijuana

If only he would accept a phone call and advice from his old buddies in the Choom Gang. Talk Radio News Service reports:

In a speech in Mexico City on Friday, President Obama shut the door on any possibility that he’ll support efforts in his second term to legalize marijuana. “I honestly do not believe that legalizing drugs is the answer,” the president told a large gathering of young Mexicans at the city’s Anthropology Museum.

Polls show that more and more Americans favor ending the federal ban on pot. A handful of states have lifted restrictions on the drug in recent years.

The president likely felt it necessary to touch on drugs in his speech since marijuana is a chief import from Mexico to the United States. It is also largely to blame for the rising swell of cartel violence in Mexico over the years. Obama said that his administration must figure out a way to reduce demand for drugs.

Hypocritical son of a bitch. Thousands of people are in jail for nothing, this is disgusting.

    • It’s too bad the Cleveland, Ohio kidnapper who kept three women locked up in his house like dogs for ten years was never suspected of growing his own medical marijuana. SWAT teams would have rescued the women years ago.

    • Working on a new campaign song for the next election cycle. I am entitling it “Do As I Say, Not As I Do”. Initial interest by both parties has been expressed enthusiastically. I’m gonna be rich!

Speaking of songs, can I share one that my political friend from Illinois – no not Obama – wrote back in the 70s? Oh good.

Now, on this occasion pronunciation of the “s” in Illinois is required. For those not from Illinois this will come easily.

“Oh, we’re the boys from Illinois,
and we have lot’s of fun.
We smoke our dope in public,
      and piss off every one!”

The above song was written as we walked back to the Capitol complex from the bar we had been drinking in on our lunch hour. We were both State workers. You can guess what else we were doing while we walked. The rest of our noon time drinking party drove the State van back to work because they didn’t have to guess what we would be doing.

Why oh why would anyone ever consider voting for an Illinois politician? As an Illinois native I can tell you I would sooner give my vote to a resident of the infernal region. Everyone may think at this point; “Half a dozen of one, six of another” but at least those from the hot place would make no bones about it

    ¡Si, no se peude!

Tell him that legalizing pot kills Pakistani kids. That ought to convince him.

    This is corporatocracy.

The twin parties are corpocratic surrogates.

Another election cycle in 2016 cannot be sustained or tolerated.

The puppet show must come to an end.

    • can’t stop what’s not happening
no such thing as authority, authorization, or legitimacy
only ‘people who associate a particular word with a particular object’
      ‘president’ ‘obama’

with illegal documents concerting how to enforce action onto, through, without, etc. a populace, population, citizen, number of people, etc. referencing “legislative”, “judicial”, “executive” graphemes and morphemes that are neither distinct from illegal contraband nor immune from the truth of their irrelevancy and misguided association with racketeering, fraud, nuisance, and any and all manner of both violent and non violent action against not only citizens of the united states, but also against its neighbors, and to the extent of such obviousness that reinforces your word, demand, and the will of the people who in harmony agree that illegal action must cease.

the united state of america has never had a government
it has had people who fail and people who are ethical
it has had accidents and unforgivable trespases

The state does exist with an actual monopoly on violence. Your pedantic ethereal drivel doesn’t alter that.

Reality is an illusion, albeit a persistent one. – A. Einstein

        • i neither denied nor held state to deny that fact Phoebe
and it is the case that i appreciate strong responses to my words
          because it helps indicate character
and we find you to be good despite your ad hominem drivel

    • I really hope so. I would love nothing better than to see hordes of angry peasants storming the NYSE with torches and pitchforks. But that does not seem too likely.
Remember the old Mencken quote, “No one has ever gone broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people.” That’s prolly truer now than in Mencken’s day.

  5. I think this title is misleading, make sure you look at the quote itself.

  6. Predictable that this piece of shit would side with all that is wrong.
Also, who the fuck smokes weed from Mexico when there is so much quality local
product around? That shit is awful.

  7. What Obama or any other professional political celebrity believes is merely intimidated unjustified opinion. Beliefs are not facts, rarely ever close to truth and have no bearing on the nature of reality. Prohibitionists are despicable semi-fascist human beings and I am ashamed to be part of the same species.

“I honestly don’t believe that legalizing drugs is the answer the military industrial banking complex will allow anyone to shut down their incredibly lucrative racket.” Fixed that for Bamz.

  9. tibby trillz | May 9, 2013 at 11:54 am |

fuck this fucking fuck of a fuck

  10. 1captainhooker1 | May 9, 2013 at 11:55 am |

Translation: “The Big Pharma lobby will never allow us to legalize weed.”

  11. The president has said a lot worse than this. For starters the blatant lie that he thought the “acts of terror” in Benghazi were a spontaneous protest that turned into a riot when he knew for a fact at that point that it was an orchestrated attack by a Libyan branch of Al Qaeda. this administration has lied continually you all bitched and moaned about bush but turned a blind eye to this wanna be dictator.

    • We’ve been lied to politicians since politicians existed. Dems turn a blind eye to Obama the same way Repubs turned a blind eye to Bush. If you’re partisan to either party, you’re part of the problem. Either vote for a third party you feel can do the job or don’t vote at all.

  12. Seems like the best chance to hold the elected officials responsible has come and gone. That of course was the election. I men here we had an incumbent who most people were quite dissatisfied with. Hope and Change had come in his first term, but not the hope and change that we hoped for, or needed.

Along came Mitt Romney in the role of the mean ole boogey-man and the majority of voters starts reluctantly mumbling “four more years” under their breath.

Did this make us think about the third choice that we had? No, because the left/right media machine had been telling us all how a vote for Mr. Paul was a wasted vote.

I pointed out the opposite that a vote for the two choices we are handed is always a wasted vote, but I was a voice in the wilderness and accused of wanting to get Romney elected by splitting the vote. Pardon me while I sit down, but Newspeak often makes me dizzy.

Now I am not saying that Ron Paul was the FDR we needed for our Great Depression, or even the Huey Long that scared FDR into bringing in the New Deal, but he might have been. And though his stance on the Milton Friedman Free Market principles made me nervous, it was a stance that was shared by the other two candidates as well, so that sort of cancelled itself out, or should have in all our minds.

One thing for sure he was a candidate who would have done things differently. And since everything has been going to hell in a hand-basket since the Bush/Obama administration took over, you would have thought we would have all been ready for a difference.

I did not stand at very many polling places to see the faces of the voters as they went to do their duty, but I do not think that the majority of the Obama voters wore smiles as they performed their necessaries. How could they? They had been stage managed into this. It was in their minds I know, because on the lips of most of my customers was the idea, stated in many different ways, that “at least Obama was better than Romney.” It was pretty clear that “better” in this case meant less scary.

So now we see the dangers of allowing ourselves to pay attention to those that have caused these problems and letting them manipulate us into doing what they need, because that is what we did.

We think that marijuana should stop being used as an excuse to fill the privately owned prisons, but the companies that own these prisons did more than think about what they wanted done, they lined pockets on both sides of the aisle to see that they got what they wanted. What did we do?

Faced with a choice between someone who wanted to legalize all drugs and let the Gov quit being the nanny it had become, and two other candidates who leaned in exactly the opposite direction. we elected one of the two prohibitionists. Now some of us are upset that we are actually getting what we asked for. I do not understand.

Four years with no Hope and no Change should not have led us to expect anything different for “four more years.”

  13. The combined amount of ignorance and greed must be approaching critical mass soon, right? LIke, it’s just going to collapse to a singularity under it’s own weight, and then we can scoop it in the dustpan and dump it?

    • Ittabena | May 9, 2013 at 1:52 pm |

One type of singularity is a black hole. In that case even light cannot escape the gravity well.

    • I wish.
Dude, I talk to LOTS of people who still think Barry is a good guy, that we live in a democracy, and that their vote actually matters. I’ve even had people become hostile and agitated when I suggest otherwise.
      The propaganda is still working.

    Alcohol is a drug Obomber.

To be fair, isopropyl alcohol is good for sterilizing injection sites. Of course, if you drink it, you will go blind and maybe die…

Lets not let people do what they want to themselves and their private property.ITS DEMOCRATIC! we’ll just tell them what they can or cant do to their own bodies and then pump em’ full of Monsanto and foreclose their house.. Cause http://youtu.be/erRA6Ib5SZs

  17. That must have come as a relief to the Drug Cartels!!!!

  18. Frank_Black | May 9, 2013 at 3:47 pm |

Anyone here read that article in one of the Disinformation anthologies (can’t remember which one) about the known drug dealers who were pulled over in either Baltimore or DC with all kinds of political documentation in their car, documents related to Al Gore’s campaign back in the day? The cartels make their donations and bribes when they need to. That journalist that covered that story found out the local police and FBI involved in the case were pressured by people from the ‘Agency’ to shut the investigation down. So at the end of the day, no one is going to be keeping the CIA from their black budget proceeds from dope sales, not even cops just doing their jobs. Clown Shoes.

Its ok for the Dictator to smoke, but not ok for the commoners.

  20. BuzzCoastin | May 9, 2013 at 7:25 pm |

how could the point man for the largest drug cartel in the whirled
support the legalization of his companies products?

  21. alizardx | May 9, 2013 at 7:36 pm |

“I honestly do not believe that legalizing drugs is the answer” – “progressives” don’t want to know what the right questions are to Obama.

Legalizing drugs is NOT the answer to the questions “What will get me million-dollar post-Presidential speakers’ fees, what will get The Obama Foundation” to a billion dollars in funding, what will get me a free private jet from a billionaire in recognition of my years of ‘public service’.”

  22. I know of a way to reduce demands on drugs. SEAL UP THE FUCKING BORDER AND ONLY ALLOW LEGALS TO COME IN! Is it really that hard to figure out?

There are PLENTY of immigrants that are willing to come thru lawfully if the restrictions were lighter and/or make it easier to learn how to get a proper US Citizenship instead of encouraging illegal crossings which are very deadly especially in the summertime when we have heat regulary over 100F and as far as I know sometimes over 110F and temps not going below the high 70s at night.

Not to mention crocodiles, alligators and snakes galore with all the wonderful poisonous plants to add unless you can read survival wilderness guides telling you which plants are safe or make you sick as a dog. In extreme cases even kill you.

Not to mention the drug lords who don’t give a fuck if they rape you or not as long as they get their dough and weapons across the border.

There are record amounts of AK47S that have been shipped into the country not inspected as if they are preparing for a race war and likely be blamed on the whites as a false flag.

It’s actually very sad how many people die NOT making it across the border and that they are encouraged by free handouts so they risk their lives and compromise security for them.

  23. Both Presidents have people do things for them as the people who relay information back to the Presidents since The Cold War have lied under their teeth but no President has the guts to stand up and investigate who they are actually hiring and paying. Though of course the President to do so will have to do that investigating indirectly in
order to not expose himself as well as make a way of escaping the country if
he feels his life is in jeopardy for being *nosy rosy* to his own people.

When we were shifting gears to go to Iraq they were going to mention that Saddam violated over a DOZEN serious United Nations peace treaties so he can be held accountable for his actions BUT the topic VERY QUICKLY diverted to WMDs which there was a women I cannot remember the name that was under Bush and Dick Cheney that directed things most likely for the benefit of HER big fat paycheck.

No matter WHAT any President says the truth will be distorted by people under them so please quit with the hate speech and this goes for both sides!

Congress has been tainted since the 60s so no matter WHICH fucking President you’ll get the truth will be warped and you are only getting half the information whatever the issue is.
