Before you post something on the Internet about something “unknown”, you should search the Internet for the “unknown” in question; just in case it’s, well, known already.

It’s a Bigfin Squid. Also, this video is dates March 11th, 2006.

I wonder what it tastes like.

  4. Is it just me, or does anyone else find this guy annoying and not funny?

I like the freeze frame of his face mid-syllable we see on the front page with his every new post.

    • You are not alone. I’m sick of seeing his face every time I check disinfo. That said, I really hope he’s not going to stop using the freeze frames. At least then I know not to watch his videos. I got tricked this time around.

You should see contributors’ names just under the bottom left of the post’s title. In the meantime, we’ll see if we can change the title of Lee’s video to better reflect the content.

Thank you. I must admit I am beginning to seriously wonder about the folks on this site when they can show support for someone who so obviously is not worthy of any attention from an intelligent adult; I’ve been a regular to this site for well over a decade- and I must admit many of the posts seem to have gone downhill. Hopefully come this winter I will have more time to contribute myself.

Lee is one of our contributors. There’s no reason to watch his material if you don’t find it to your taste. He does have fans, though. Regarding the site going downhill, you can blame me. I’ve tried very hard to curate an eclectic and compelling selection of material that might appeal to a variety of visitors: Forteana, politics, humor, independent art, activism, criticism of the growing police/surveillance state, science, and ancient history are but a few of the areas that I’ve attempted to target. I’ve also attempted to find, support and nurture a group of talented writers and other contributors, edit their material and respond to the needs of our community of commenters, of which you are one. When you’re the new guy, you’re bound to upset a few people now and again. This is not an easy job, but it’s one I’ve attempted to do to the best of my ability.
I do look forward to your contributions. They are welcome at any time.

I consider myself to be reasonably intelligent (but then again, I guess most idiots do) and I dig Lee’s work. Its not all solid gold, but I appreciate what he’s doing. Additionally, I find the eclectic mix of stuff on this site refreshing, and while I certainly don’t care to check out The Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram, I don’t begrudge others’ the option to do so…

That’s what I’m trying to do here. I don’t personally endorse, practice or sometimes even love everything that I approve for publication at the site, but I try not to just think of me, or of even one set of readers. My primary goal is to supply a lot of interesting perspectives and information for intelligent, independent people of all sorts, and if I don’t run at least one thing that pisses off someone then I’m probably not doing my job. It’s what I consider a key part of this site’s continuing allure. I take great pride in providing a few “red pill” moments here and there through cognitive dissonance and humor.

    • why do you watch him then? just to leave a negative comment.
internet is full of critics of people whom are creative, very sad.

  5. Bigfin squid…so cool, never seen footage of one before, but its a dead on match. So alien and beautiful in its environment.
