Okay, this is a story that begins to play with fire a litle bit.

Everyone here is fond of knocking the softball stories Martin picks. I certainly am.
But in the context of a wider American society, without, perhaps, as much appetite for or experience with US conspiracy as the typical Disinfonaut, I guess even her weakest stories are tolerably challenging.

The worst I’ve ever seen from her is terribly lop-sided coverage. My sense is that these are more sins of omission rather than outright fakery, which I guess can be just as bad in a certain context.

The typical explanation is that this is her bargain with the Devil. In order to get access to certain resources, there has to be some sort of institutional sponsorship, and that inevitably means sacrificing some level of objectivity. Better some of the story than none of it, the thinking seems to go.

But now to be questioning the prosecution of people associated with Chechen resistance figures seems to be treading more dangerous ground for RT. If there is one thing the US and Russia seem to have unambiguous agreement about these days, it is stamping out Islamic terror networks.

We’ll watch the development of this story with interest, but I can’t see Martin going too far with this line of inquiry.

But you have to admit that first there was the gun story, then the knife
story, and now is is hinted at that even the lethal martial artist
story hold no water because the dude was on crutches recovering form a
knee surgery. I’m sorry but the FBI’s mentally deficient wet works team
seems to have fucked this one up good. The shooting makes no sense,
    Chechan resistance fighter or no.

Sorry I erroneously mentioned he was on crutches, I re-watched this video and had missed the part about him being off the crutches.
