Gandhi with a Gun: The Unfortunate Story of Adam Kokesh’s Trial

The saga continues.  Does the corporation of the District of Columbia have the power to create Constitution free zones?  What law was violated exactly,FreeAdamKokesh when the 2nd amendment is supposed to provide for the inalienable right to keep and bear arms, and why is this non-violent activist continually denied bond?   We Are Change provides documentation of the deliberate planting of mushrooms here, leading to the obvious conclusion that Adam Kokesh is yet another political prisoner of our tyrannical government.

On this day, August 13, 2013, former Marine and liberty activist Adam Kokesh went before the DC Superior Court. His court appearance was centered on two bail hearings for both a felony and misdemeanor charge. The felony charges were a result of his now famous Fourth of July video where he allegedly loads a shotgun on Freedom Plaza in the District as well as mushrooms supposedly found on his premises during the now infamous police raid on his home in Herndon last month. The misdemeanor charge was related to an Adam VS The Man protest event known as Joint Summit with President Choom. At this event, he was arrested for smoking marijuana in front of the White House by the US Park Police. In the latter case, he received bail at $100. In the former, bail was suspended pending a final decision later this week. In both cases, the judge showed sympathy toward the activist who has been labeled as a flight risk and a public threat by others. The judge in the marijuana case even stated that “people commit gun crimes everyday.” As a friend to him and a comrade in the movement, its seems it is time to break my silence and say what needs to be said on this matter.

What Adam did, regardless of its wisdom, was an act of civil disobedience. He never caused one single person harm nor damaged any property. These things he has been charged with can best be described as a victimless crime spree. Furthermore, what he is accused of is a trifle at best. He smoked weed in front of the White House. Big deal, Willie Nelson does it on the roof every time he’s there and nobody raises a big fuss about him. Adam loaded a gun in DC. So, tons of criminals load guns everyday in the District…and discharge them at other people. They say that Adam loading the gun on Freedom Plaza was the worst place in DC to do it. Nonsense, I would think that’s the ideal place to do something like that. After all, it has the word freedom in its name. I continue to find myself at a loss as to why this is such a controversy. Furthermore, was it really necessary to go SEAL Team Six on his house, breaking the door and scaring the living daylights out of his poor dog, Baloo, when he would have gone peacefully. In addition to also planting false evidence at the scene, resulting in the drug charge for mushrooms, the raid was not conducted properly. Therefore, one might say it was an illegal search and seizure. Then, they add insult to injury by calling him a threat to the public and a flight risk. The truth is Adam keeps his legal appointments and is only a threat to criminals and the delusional law enforcement arms of the Federal government.

I wouldn’t push the notion that the mushrooms weren’t his too hard…they may well be the only thing he’s ever done or said that showed a sign of sentience.

    ‘Gandhi with a gun’?

    Jesus wept.

Kokesh is Ted Nugent with a broader vocabulary and far less fame, but he has people working on the second part for him while he’s in jail. The Second Amendment isn’t a Constitutional self destruct device to enable the kind of armed uprising that Kokesh has called for in the past. Fuck this guy.

Openly carrying a loaded shotgun in public was the crime. I have no problem with laws that keep shotgun wielding nutters off the streets.
