Media Roots Radio – Obama’s Syrian War

On the latest edition of Media Roots Radio, Abby and Robbie Martin discuss how a new war against Syria seems all but inevitable.

They talk about the eerily similar establishment rhetoric between the Iraq war buildup and today’s Syria war mongering – specifically the potential unilateral US military action in defiance of the UN, the ‘humanitarian’ justification and the scare tactics of ‘chemical weapons’. A recent speech by Secretary of State, John Kerry, marked a distinct turning point in the ferocity of the Syria rhetoric, which is dissected by Robbie and Abby in its entirety.

Question is why we have to start these wars with money we don’t have for a cause that doesn’t affect the American people, for a purpose quite unknown and a bit nefarious coupled with the motivations of unknown (?) individuals acting above the President of the United States with Illuminati Secretary Kerry’s ‘motivational speeches’ driving it along….

    • dont worry my friend , im sure some zionist bank will finance the war with low interests , also FED can print some dollars , its gonna cost nothing for tax payers , c’mon we need another war , the other ones are old and boring.

Abby Casey Anthoney and The Trayvon case are in the media purely as distractions from other things going on… its put out there to create division within our societies…. just look at the Trayvon case how much racism sparked from that…

  3. This discussion although deeper and different from the main stream media’s, is still superficial and NOT revealing the real reasons behind the US doing what it is doing! We have to get to the very bottom of the world problem which the US says is terrorism, here is how: 1- Why and where the political Islam came to be so popular and powerful today?
2- Who is financing and arming it and why?
I heard the Martins say that the final target is HAMAS and IRAN. I hear this from other political commentators too. For everyone’s information Hamas was created by Israel to fight PLO in 1980 in Cairo!!!( For more on that read: Battle for God by Karen Armstrong, prof. of Mid East studies at Oxford uni.) Why is the Iranian government financing HAMAS today??? On the contrary to commentators and mainstream media, Iran is the government to benefit most if ASSAD goes! Why? Because Syria becomes an Islamic republic, another state like Iran. A very big moral boost to the Iranian government! Like Iraq, Egypt and Libya it only enhances the Iranian governments goal to show to it’s people that Islam is so good that everyone wants it, why don’t you!!?? Iran and the US together have been working on Syria for a looong time!!! Right now the Iranian government is helping the Syrian rebels more than helping ASSAD’s government. It has been fooling ASSAD by sending him money to his Swiss bank for a long time!!! They did so in order to spy on him and pass to the US. Of course Assad and his father knew that but the money was too good to reject!! If you want to know of Iran arming the rebels alongside US and Saudis just see the report by AFP on 18 February 2013 on the Iranian flotilla leaving Iran for Syria but docking in Jedda, Saudi Arabia first!!! Why??? I thought these two govs were enemies??? Did it load any ” presents” for the Rebels fighting ASSAD?? Iraq is a country under US-Iran control today. Ayad Allawi the former Iraqi prime minister says “we ( Iraq) are in the grip of Iran” in a Hard Talk BBC interview on 20th of June 2013!! So why isn’t the Iranian gov.stopping Iraq supplying arms to the Syrian rebels ?? A few months ago there was an earthquake in Iran, the people and the parliament demanded the government take urgent measures to help the affected people but Ahmadinezhad ( president and the head of gov in Iran) left urgently for Saudi Arabia to discuss Syria!! What did they talk about?? Peace?? What was the outcome?? Why such secrecy?? Didn’t they discuss how to help the Syrian opposition better??
There is a lot of dirty politics going on behind the scenes. I could tell you much more on US-Iran-Israel cooperation but it becomes too long for a comment…
