Neo-Nazi Planning To Build White Supremacist Town In North Dakota

whites-only

Time to cancel the trip to North Dakota you weren’t going to take anyway? The Bismark Tribune reports:

A man wanted in Canada for hate crimes plans to create a white nationalist community in a small Grant County town off the radar.

Craig Paul Cobb, 61, owns a two-story house and 12 other lots in Leith, a town of 19 people, according to county records. Cobb advocates racial holy war and is promoting his property in Leith to others like him.

Asked by county employees why he was buying so many lots, he said he planned to buy up as much property as he could and rename the town “Cobbsville,” said Tax Director Muriel Ulrich.

County records show that Cobb has since transferred ownership of two lots: one to Tom Metzger, a former grand dragon of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan in California, and another to Alex Linder, originator of the Vanguard News Network, a white supremacist website.

Cobb describes his plans for a white nationalist community in North Dakota:

“Imagine strolling over to your neighbors to discuss world politics with nearly all like-minded volk. We could declare a Mexican illegal invaders and Israeli Mossad/IDF spies no-go zone. If leftist journalists come and try to make trouble, they just might…have to be arrested by our town constable.”

Intentional Communities fascinate me. Most I have watched over the years slowly disintegrate due to financial squabbling regarding actual ownership of the land. The Rainbow People types tend to do it most successfully.

National Socialism usually works wonderfully in the beginning, then goes sideways due to the innate irrationality of “public” property. Failure is baked into the premise.

    • Andrew

      What’s irrational about public property?

      • Charlie Primero

All states are extramarket constructs and are always and everywhere incapable of economic calculation. Without the profit-and-loss test, with private property being a prerequisite, socialism does not allow an economy to emerge. Socialism is, therefore, irrational.

        • Cortacespedes

Thanks for the von Mises copypasta. Consider the case of “the irrationality of public property” closed.

With that settled; I am now off to walk my dog in the park, and whilst on my way, return a copy of “Nation, State, And Economy” to the local library.

        • Andrew

That’s an awfully dogmatic theory you have there. I see a few problems.

          1. Economic profit-and-loss tests are not the only form of rationality.

          2. Governments are not extramarket. They are funded by those with the most private property, and they purchase guns and ammo for police and military if nothing else.

          3. Markets are collectives, and very often make irrational decisions.

          • Charlie Primero

Acceptance of reality is not dogma. It’s reality.

I accepted the rational proposition that your booty-hole belongs to you. It’s your property. You should control it. My cousin Cletus and I should not consider it available for public enjoyment as a public property for the public good just because we held an election and offered you a vote on the matter.

You can make the case that people don’t own themselves and property doesn’t exist, but the Disinfo comments sections really isn’t a good forum for that.

          • Andrew

Sorry, but your reply seems to be non sequitur to me. Where in my comment did I make the argument that people don’t own themselves?

Your theories are not an “acceptance of reality.” They are maps of your reality tunnel. If you look in any dictionary, I doubt you’ll find any definition of “economy” that precludes government participation. If it does, then no economy exists anywhere on earth.

By dogmatic, I mean your apparent assumption that capitalism and socialism are mutually exclusive. I reject that assumption. I believe capitalism and socialism require a certain amount of each other to exist. History bears that out since neither total socialism nor total capitalism have ever existed anywhere for long.

I think its “White Supremacy” when you have a big military power like Germany trying to take over the World. When you have a bunch of rednecks holing up somewhere off the grid, it should be called something else.

    • Reasor

People with untreated schizophrenia used to have so much class. They thought they were Napoleon. Today, they have to settle for thinking they’re Brigham Young.

    • Eric_D_Read

      It is. White separatist.

    • DeepCough

I think the word “white ghetto” is most apt in this sense.

  • Haystack

Let them all congregate in the middle of a desert somewhere so we don’t have to deal with them where we live.

  • Matt Staggs

Ever notice that people who elect themselves defenders of this or that race are usually the worst, most embarrassing examples that race has to offer? Yeah, um, we white folks are doing fine, Bubba. Those of us who embrace the concept of human brotherhood, especially. I’ll just hang out over here with the rest of the adults and make fun of you, Oh Great Defender of White-itutde.

    • Anarchy Pony

I like how they seem to believe that whiteness is some sort of united front and that all white people have some sort of unifying culture.

      • Charlie Primero

They suffer from the collectivism taught to them in government school which teaches that group identity is more important than individual character. It’s the same with “Cowboys fans”, “veterans”, “blacks”, “BMW drivers, “drug users”, or anything stereotypical group assignment.

      • Matt Staggs

Hell. There’s not even a “unifying culture” in my cul-de-sac. Just because we share an approximate skin tone doesn’t mean you’re kin of mine.

        • Anarchy Pony

          Exactly.

    • Ted Heistman

Nothing says “Aryan superman” like tattooing “peckerwood” across your chest.

Clearly a prime member of the master race.

        • Ted Heistman

Yeah, we have our exemplar. On with the eugenics program!

          • Anarchy Pony

Clearly the template for all future uber mensch!

      • The Well Dressed Man

I’ve been told that sort of prison tattoo is a survival mechanism. That guy doesn’t look like he’d have a chance inside without some scary friends.

        • Ted Heistman

Yeah, I mean its just another gang in prison. They all tat themselves up like that and self segregate by race. Its a weird thing. I mean you’d think they would see themselves as a “brotherhood of the damned” or some such and find common cause, but they don’t. My pet theory is that gangs are like little feral tribes that hold themselves together through opposition with enemy gangs.

When your proudest achievement occured 9 months before your birth, you know you’ve reached the nadir of the Cosmic Cycle:

‘My Lord Count, because you are a great nobleman, you think you are a great genius. Nobility, fortune, rank, position! How proud they make a man feel! What have you done to deserve such advantages? Put yourself to the trouble of being born – nothing more! Whereas I, lost among the obscure crowd, have had to deploy more knowledge, more calculation and skill to survive than has sufficed to rule all the provinces of Spain for a century’.

    Der Homeland
    with it’s Native American genocide
the racially motivated imprisonment of mostly dark skinned minorities
the wage slavery of consumerism exploiting minorities
and the persecution of the slave labor from Mexico
makes it the Supreme white supremacist town in the whirled

  • The Well Dressed Man

These types have been trying to establish homelands in the northwest for decades now. It’s the extreme example of “White-flight.” Cutting one’s community off from education and opportunity seems like a poor choice for the advancement of group interests. Fear of demographics and survivalist ideologies must be powerful motivators. Ethnic cultures like Han Chinese and Jews endured millennia by adapting. Modern diasporas could learn much by studying these examples.

  • Ubelsteiner

“…plans to create a white nationalist community in a small Grant County town off the radar.” yeah, real great job of keeping this “off the radar”.

And just look at him, what a prime example of the supreme white race, lmao!

  • DrZann

As a fellow North Dakotan I’d like to be the first to tell Mr. Cobb…please get the fuck off my lawn! You and yours are not welcome.

  • Adam’s Shadow

He looks like he loves watercolor painting. But then, so did Hitler.

  • baruchzed

    He should be stopped.

  • Haystack

I think it would make it easier to keep an eye on them. You’d only have to infiltrate one town, rather than a nationwide network.

  • DeepCough

Matter of fact, Mormons did this same thing, and they’re not trying to fly planes into buildings: they’re just influencing referendums in states that don’t agree with their worldview is all.
