Canary Party Video Asks in Rob Schneider-Narrated Video ‘Do Vaccines Cause Autism?’

Via EBCALA:

EBCALA is excited to share with you a new five-minute animated video “Do Vaccines Cause Autism,” just released by The Canary Party. Narrated by Saturday Night Live alum and vaccine safety advocate, Rob Schneider, the video succinctly describes the dysfunction inside the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP).

Note: the opinions expressed in this post and/or video are those of the contributor and/or the video’s creators alone and publication does not indicate that The Disinformation Company endorses those opinions.

Rob Schneider is not the best front man if your trying to ignite a debate about something in the field of science.

Absolutely, Jenny McCarthy would have been much better.

That video is BS. A great deal of research papers show there is NO link between vaccines and autism. Furthermore, Wakefield, the guy who first proposed the link, has been thoroughly discredited. Not only did he illegally take blood from children at his kid’s birthday party (creepy ass fuck) but he flat out fabricated evidence, lied, and practically made a career out of scare-mongering.

This kind of horseshit is what is DIRECTLY causing children to suffer and sometimes die from illnesses like measles, mumps, and rubella that were previously under control.

Correlation does NOT equal causation. You know what else has skyrocketed along with autism? Artifical sweeteners, the use of high-fructose corn syrup, cellphone use, computer use, antibiotics, plastics, TV, sports drink consumption. I could go on and on.

Actually Wakefield hasn’t been discredited. Do you just repeat everything you read on Skeptic websites?

He had his license revoked and he is barred from practicing in Britain, you clown. Do you just gargle whatever stupid bullshit you read on your ridiculous conspiracy websites? I’d like to point out the extreme bias of the site you linked to by the way.

“…ethical lapses, including conducting invasive medical procedures on children that they did not need.”

” It cited his taking blood samples for his study from children at his
son’s birthday party; he paid each child £5, about $7.20 today, and joked about it later.”

“It also noted that part of the costs of Dr. Wakefield’s research was
paid by lawyers for parents seeking to sue vaccine makers for damages.”

“Other scientists could not replicate Wakefield’s findings, nor verify a link between the vaccine and autism.”

        “revoked
Wakefield’s medical license, citing ethical concerns over how he
recruited the patients in the study as well as his failure to disclose
that he was a paid consultant to attorneys representing parents who believed their children had been harmed by vaccines.”

“The final shoe dropped a year later, when another prestigious medical journal concluded that his research was also fraudulent, after evidence that some of the timelines of the children’s symptoms were misrepresented.”

I’m pretty sure having the journal that published your study print a retraction of your results and apologize for a lack of due diligence AND having your license to practice medicine taken away counts as “discredited”.

I always saw the vaccines causing autism as a red herring throwing off the issue. There are some scary chem’s in the vaccines and the standard word is “yes they are neurotoxins, but its not nearly enough to do any damage”. Hidden behind the noise of the anti-vaxers theres a smaller, much quieter group of safe-vaxers.

Its like the truthers throwing off genuine conspiracies, or the global warming deniers throwing off genuine environmental crises (there’s a lot more pollution out there than just CO2)

Good point C02 is actually useful, unlike plastic, PCB’s nuclear waste etc…

Caffiene, Alcohol, processed soy and other everyday food items can classified as “neurotoxins”. The word is scarier than many of the things it describes.

        • http://hormeticminds.blogspot.com/ Chaorder Gradient

fair point, but do we inject, caffeine, alcohol, and processed soy via injection, bypassing normal digestive organs? And how about to infants?

          • Guest

Alcohol and caffeine can and do bypass digestive organs as both can be absorbed through the skin. It’s why alcohol affects you long before you have a chance to digest it (the intestines do most of the work digesting liquids). You can even buy caffeine patches. Many toxins do zero damage until they hit a certain threshold. Caffeine requires a lot, alcohol less (though still quite a lot). Just being labelled a “neurotoxin” does not mean it’s inherently dangerous in the dosages in things we inject or ingest.

i’m not really disagreeing with you, just stating the possibility that those thresholds are dramatically less for infants.

Hell I even suspect that heavy metals like lead and mercury aren’t even as terrible as people lead on as long as you’re not swallowing it wholesale. Kids 50 years ago would just get to play around with mercury like it was a toy ( “its like a metal, but its like water!” ) and they all turned out fine. right? Now if someone breaks a mercury thermometer in a school, they gotta set up a crime scene and rope it off until its cleaned up entirely.

This infomercial fails to mention that the compensated claims for ‘autism’ were for primary injury of vaccine induced encephalopathy. Autism was a secondary outcome. Encephalopathies are rarely causal in autism and the vast majority of childhood encephalopathies are not caused by vaccines. No awards for primary autism were given.
Let’s look at the actually rate of encephalitis for the infections that the MMR vaccine inoculates against.
    Measles 1:1000
    Mumps 1:50,000
    Rubella: 1:3000

    The vaccine?
    1:3,000,000
