I would encourage Luke and his muck raking friends Mark Dice, Alex Jones, David Icke, Adam Kokesh, Paul Joseph Watson and Ron Paul to give it up… you wear your Pro-Christian agenda on your sleeve hiding behind words like Truth, Patriot, Liberty and Change to attack your perceived enemies within the gov.

    • I do not understand how Libertarians can possibly be part of an organized religion.

So….they don’t trust government. Ok, that’s reasonable; I can understand the rationale behind that.

But…..they also commit their allegiance to an unalterable supreme celestial dictator who demands he be praised and worshiped and blessed and thanked and loved or ELSE he will cast you into an eternity of fire, torture, depression, and utter misery.

Christopher Hitchens had it right. IF this god exists(and thankfully there’s zero reason to believe that) it would be the most existentially horrifying situation possible. Imagine if such a god was literally real. How utterly terrifying and depressing would that be? It would render all of reality into a cosmic-scale North Korea, where we thank and praise the Great Leader and his son, The Dear Leader, day and night. And if we disobey or offend his ego in any way, we will commit us to unimaginable torture….forever.

So….I ask again, how the HELL is it possible for a Libertarian, of all people, to follow an organized religion?? It makes zero sense. If Christian Libertarians exist, what’s next…Egalitarian Egomaniacs?

Imagine if, along with Libertarian Christians, there were also Pedophile Priests(can you even imagine??), a Creationist on the President’s Science Advisory Committee, PEW Polling Agency finding that Evangelical Christians have more abortions per-capita than any other demographic in the US, or the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces receiving a Nobel Peace Prize?
Imagine if all that were true as well as there actually being Libertarian Christians!
No wonder the world is so screwed up….

The terms “cognitive dissonance” and “compartmentalized thinking” were invented for this very situation.

You know how I conquered my fear of public speaking? I started teaching; teenagers really don’t give a shit what you’re saying unless you make it VERY convincing and passionate. You can’t become a good public school teacher unless you’re at least a decent public speaker.
