I spring an entirely unplanned question on fighting philosopher Daniele Bolelli (“On the Warrior’s Path”, “50 Things You’re Not Supposed to Know: Religion”): How can we all strive toward not being assholes? What develops is an interesting conversation on empathy, jealousy, violence, and the philosophical nature of good and evil.

  1. What would Batman do?

Put you in the hospital and/or a wheelchair for the rest of your life? I never understood that about Batman. He won’t kill you, he’ll just bring you to the very brink of death and leave you physically broken. At least the Joker finishes the job.

  2. My serious reply now that I’ve listened all the way through.

I can relate with pretty much everyone, even when I disagree. Too an extreme, even when people who are being assholes. Sometimes I can take on, or reply through, or act by multiple reality tunnels. Most of the time I am not serious, or only half serious. Generally my intention is good, maybe tough love.

How about starting by getting a less pretentious profile pic, professor B?
