I’m sure Luke’s heart is in the right place but I question his methods. Is shouting questions to people in hotel foyers etc really the best way to engage people in a civil discussion? And besides you’re asking people stuff that a) they most likely don’t want to answer so all they need do is ignore you and b) the questions asked involve complex answers so the interviewee is not going to be able to give a proper response under such conditions. It seems to me that the best area of journalism is that of investigative. I’m not saying Luke should stop but I think his chances of getting a coherent response from anyone in a position of power is near zero. Im also guessing that one of his motivations is to send these people up, that is make them look foolish when they won’t answer.
