OfficeMax Sends Letter Addressed to ‘Daughter Killed in Car Crash’

A couple who lost their daughter in an accident received a piece of correspondence from OfficeMax addressed to “Daughter killed in car crash.” OfficeMax blame the ghoulish mix-up on “third party” information. What kind of commercial database has that kind of information on-hand? And why?
