Except that, you know, the internet IS a den of pornographers, thievs, and terrorists. And in direct proprtion to how much good reglar peeple have done with the internets, we now have been shown “government” has used their leverage to develop it as an exponentially more powerful tool of repression and control. Same future for Bitcoin once it has enough mass to matter.

I find it disgusting how libertarians so readily wrap themselves in a cloak of human liberty to sell their ideas. They live in an old paradigm of get-rich off of others, and delude themselves (and others who are sold on their ideology) that human freedom is achieved by allowing competition to go unhindered by government. They suffer the same delusions as liberals–they both feel they understand society well enough to harness from the top either through coercion or through manipulation of resources by a scant few.

Don’t think he sold this well enough. If we can get bitcoin up and running to a critical mass then we can boycott established currency – the ultimate boycott. Then you can kiss goodbye to usury and fractional reserve banking — ye haw!!
