Ah.. Don’t lose too much sleep over this, Abby. That all sounds like a typical Saturday night in Soho.

The problem is not secret societies, the problem is secret societies linked so directly with power.

My problem with skull & bones is not only for what it means as the obvious power broker the association is. It is also with the symbolism that they employ, which certainly indicate their “ideals” are… troublesome.

It matters not if one believes in symbolism or not, some things carry meaning with or without your consent. What symbols they employ carry all the wrong meanings for the rest of society. If they were problems only onto themselves, I wouldn’t care, but most of them boners are pretty high up in society.

And yes, Abby is hot, and appears to have a brain as a bonus.

Without consent of ANY humans, do you think symbols have “inherent” meaning? Or only meaning ascribed to them by humans? Or in humans ascribing value to them, do they then supernaturally gain inherent meaning?

And indeed, Abby is quite a babe.

Yes, some symbols do have meaning, even without humans. The five pointed star is a good example. It contains the golden ratio, which is present in many places in the natural world. What is found to be beatiful respects that ratio for instance.

You can create a perfect star inside a circle, at any size, provided you have a big engouh rope. It’s relationship with the circle is meaningful.

Although consciousness is necessary for the perception of meaning, perception is not a condition for the existence of meaning. You and I might not be aware of the meaning of some symbols, but it doesn’t deprive them of it.

At least, that is what I understand of the subject.

Any secret society that is not linked to power, or at least the pursuit of power, is a secret society nobody would want to join.

Skull and Bones has already jumped the shark, its just a co-ed ethnically diverse club at Yale, its no longer a secret society for powerful WASPs.

  6. Thankfully, if Putin turns off the gas supplies, the Ukraine will have plenty of fuel to stay warm next winter…

I take my orders from Femen. Putin be damned.
