Chicago Rep Who Sponsored Bills Against Child Porn Busted For Child Porn

cb3d88de-769e-4455-8fc9-b9981583fa2aAccording to the Chicago Tribune, Farnham had child pornography on his state office computer.

Via Jonathan Turley:

Former Illinois State Rep. Keith Farnham, 66, was the co-sponsor of two bills to increase the punishment for child pornography may soon regret the effort. He has been charged with child pornography crimes related to hundreds of images and videos on his personal and state-owned computers as well as graphic online chats. In one such chat, he allegedly wrote that “12 is about as old as i can handle . . . i love them at 6 7 8.” In another chat, he allegedly bragged about sexually molesting a 6-year-old girl. He is not charged with that rape. In the sick and bizarre world of child porn, such a claim may have been a form of bragging than a true admission of a rape. Farnham resigned from office shortly after his state office was raided. He said that he needed to resign due to health concerns.

yeah i find it odd that there seems to be a “trend” of people who are “fighting” against child porn, that end up getting busted for it.I can’t give any examples, but it just seems to occur to me that this had happened before. Do these sick perverts “get in” with the “fight against’ because they believe no one would “suspect” them?

    it is interesting to note
that those most against certain vices
are usually addicted to the vice they oppose
when I encounter someone rabidly anti-vice
I assume that that vice is their personal addiction

The late Stop The War Coalition president Tony Benn springs to mind.

I would post links to back up my allusions to his jingoism, but suspect that they’d be forbidden, as is sadly often the case.

He’s a Democrat. I find it interesting this was not mentioned in the first sentence considering Republicans are always outed as such the second they get caught with their pants down.

Not saying Republicans aren’t guilty of the same heinous acts, but at least their party affiliation is mentioned.
