Newspaper Comic Not Only Racist But Totally Off Mark

The Indianapolis Star just withdrew a comic that many deemed as racist and insensitive. The comic was on the topic of immigration. See the comic here. Not only was this comic racist, it was also incredibly off the mark and here’s why. This clip features Ron Placone and is a video summary from the Indie Bohemians Morning Show: A Morning Show, for people who hate Morning Shows.

Lemme guess, “we are a nation of immigrants,” “they do the jobs that no one will do” “never take gov’t services” “they’re model citizens” “the are the spiritual equivalent of Emma Lazarus’ ‘huddled masses yearning to be free'” etc. etc.

  2. Immigrants!? On Thanksgiving?! Native Americans can tell you what a horrible mistake that could be.

  3. According to the numerous defenders of South Park who I’ve rowed with in recent times:
cartoons aren’t to be taken seriously, they’re just a form of harmless entertainment, you need to chill out, get a sense of humour and look up the word *satire*.
