May 24, 2013 Political activist Adam Kokesh was released from jail this afternoon. Kokesh was arrested last Saturday for exercising his First Amendment right at a protest. He called for a “new American revolution” to begin on July 4 with a march on all 50 state capitols. The release was announced on his Facebook page with the following message and photograph: Released 130524 with felony charges reduced to citations which I refused to sign. Played hardball. Won. Talk to you Monday.

FBI Agents Shoot and kill MMA Fighter Being Questioned in Relation to Boston Marathon Bombings

Ibragim Todashev, a 1-0 professional MMA fighter, was shot and killed by the FBI last night after being questioned in relation to the Boston Marathon bombings.

Ibragim Todashev was shot and killed by an FBI agent overnight last night according to multiple news reports. Todashev was a professional MMA fighter according to Michelle Malkin who linked to his professional record and posted a video of one of his fights.

Here’s the story from WFTV:

A friend of a man shot and killed by an FBI agent overnight said the victim was being questioned in connection to the Boston Marathon bombings. Khusen Taramov told WFTV the man’s name was Ibragim Todashev, but the FBI has not confirmed that.

“He had a ticket from New York, [and] from there, he was going to go back home. They were pushing him, saying, ‘Stay, don’t leave.’ They said, ‘We want to interview you one last time and talk to you a last time.’ And he decided to stay, and today’s interview was supposed to be the last time, and they said they were going to leave him alone,” said the victim’s friend, Khusen Taramov.

Thanks to the below video report from Josie Harris and Christopher Cantwell, direct from the federal courthouse in Philadelphia, we know that Adam is being held under 18 USC 11, felony assault on a federal officer. He was not released today but he has a detention hearing Thursday and might be released then. Thanks to Scott MacMillan we have a copy of the complaint against Adam.

The Free Adam Kokesh campaign will share more information as it becomes available. We all need to step up our activities in support of Adam in order to help Adam. He is in a very serious situation. We can not trust that justice will prevail inside the government injustice system. We have to use our rights to make justice prevail.

Speaking from personal experience, Adam is being framed. It’s that simple.

Adam Kokesh is an upstanding marine who is active for peace, marijuana legalization, the right to keep and bear firearms and other worthy causes.

As I entered the line for the security and “screening” area of the Salt Lake City Airport on April 27th, 2013, I decided that it was time to stand up for my natural rights as a lawful man. I decided not to offer my willing consent that any TSA officer might presume as to my willingness or legal duty to be either irradiated in a full-body scanner or be patted down by any agent of government or its security guards (police) without first being shown probable cause or reasonable suspicion that I have committed a regulated commercial or criminal act, and to show any law that gave that officer or security guard authority to do so despite my lack of voluntary consent.
