U.S. Planned Nerve Gas Tests on Australian Soldiers

THE US military planned to test deadly nerve gas on Australian soldiers in far north Queensland during the Cold War, declassified documents reveal.

The Defence and Prime Minister’s office files show that the US was strongly pushing then prime minister Harold Holt’s government in the 1960s to allow tests of two of the deadliest chemical weapons ever developed — VX and GB, better known as Sarin nerve gas.

The revelation airs this morning on the Nine Network’s Sunday program. It says the top secret plan involved allowing 200 mainly Australian combat troops to be aerially bombed and sprayed with the chemical weapons.

Want Some Torture With Your Peanuts?

A senior government official with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has expressed great interest in a so-called safety bracelet that would serve as a stun device, similar to that of a police Taser. According to this promotional video found at the Lamperd Less Lethal website, the bracelet would be worn by all airline passengers. This bracelet would take the place of an airline boarding pass; contain personal information about the traveler; be able to monitor the whereabouts of each passenger and his/her luggage and shock the wearer on command, completely immobilizing him/her for several minutes. The Electronic ID Bracelet, as it’s referred to as, would be worn by every traveler “until they disembark the flight at their destination.”

According to a letter from DHS official, Paul S. Ruwaldt of the Science and Technology Directorate, office of Research and Development, to the inventor whom he had previously met with, he wrote, “To make it clear, we [the federal government] are interested in…the immobilizing security bracelet, and look forward to receiving a written proposal.” Not only could it be used as a physical restraining device, but also as a method of interrogation, according to the same aforementioned letter from Mr.… Read the rest

20 Die in Coalition Missile Strike in Afghanistan

At least 20 people have been killed in a missile strike by ‘coalition’ forces in Afghanistan. Local people say that the group was a wedding party, and most of the dead are said to be women and children. However the US has said that those killed were militants involved in previous mortar attacks on a NATO base. [Yeah, the bride was a busy little bee in June. You know, planning her wedding, planning mortar attacks....]

AP: U.S. Allowed S. Korea to Machine-Gun 3,500 Political Prisoners

The American colonel, troubled by what he was hearing, tried to stall at first. But the declassified record shows he finally told his South Korean counterpart it “would be permitted” to machine-gun 3,500 political prisoners, to keep them from joining approaching enemy forces. In the early days of the Korean War, other American officers observed, photographed and confidentially reported on such wholesale executions by their South Korean ally, a secretive slaughter believed to have killed 100,000 or more leftists and supposed sympathizers, usually without charge or trial, in a few weeks in mid-1950. Extensive archival research by The Associated Press has found no indication Far East commander Gen. Douglas MacArthur took action to stem the summary mass killing, knowledge of which reached top levels of the Pentagon and State Department in Washington, where it was classified “secret” and filed away.

Texas Lawyer Takes On Bloodthirsty Cops

Paul Joseph Watson / Prison Planet

The prospect of cops forcibly jabbing a needle into your arm and taking a blood sample on the side of a highway in suspected DWI cases is perhaps the most egregious portend of police state America in history, but one Texas lawyer has taken a stand to denounce the program as completely illegal.

Law enforcement programs in Texas, Ohio and other areas have trained cops to pull suspected drunk drivers over and forcibly extract blood, even against their will, a form of legalized police brutality that outstrips anything in Soviet Russia or Communist China.

A cadre of jackbooted vampires are set to be out in force this holiday weekend in search of your blood. Citing the fact that the 4th amendment protects against “unreasonable searches and seizures” matters not to these thugs, who will hold you down if need be while sinking a needle into your arm in another case of “guilty until proven innocent”.… Read the rest

Swiss Radio: FARC Leaders Were Paid Millions to Free Hostages

Thomson Financial News: Leaders of the Colombian FARC rebel movement were paid millions of dollars to free Colombian politician Ingrid Betancourt and 14 other hostages, Swiss radio said on Friday, quoting ‘a reliable source’. The 15 hostages released on Wednesday by the Colombian army ‘were in reality ransomed for a high price, and the whole operation afterwards was a set-up,’ the radio’s French-language channel said. Saying the United States, which had three of its citizens among those freed, was behind the deal, it put the price of the ransom at some $20 million. The radio said its source was ‘close to the events, reliable and tested many times in recent years.’
