It’s 2:45 in the PM and I’m rolling a Citizen’s Cab spare, 2402, down Fillmore fresh from a fruitless jaunt through Pac Heights. As my day shift winds down, I’ll continue working these well-off commercial strips
Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Trump, famously coined the Orwellian phrase “alternative facts” when pressed about flat out lies told the previous day by White House press secretary Sean Spicer regarding the…
Over the past few years, I’ve become increasingly fascinated with the whole extraterrestrial phenomenon, both as a human being and artist. Mostly via the internet, new reports, videos, photos and stories of…
The Forbidden Book, a novel by Joscelyn Godwin and Guido Mina di Sospiro, was already topical in 2007, when the first of its nine editions in different languages first appeared. Islamic terrorism and immigration…
I have stopped reading anything written by John Garnaut after I caught him red-handed and challenged him directly on several of his articles
The majority of Americans are victims of a living system that has been hijacked to make the rich richer, by defying nature. Unfortunately, it’s only the extremists that are aware of this reality.
As I cruise past the bustling crack and meth scene on 16th Street here, mixed in amongst a seemingly endless sprawl of tents, tarps and bicycle parts, I roll down into the Mission, on a mission…Read More
The momentum to impeach President Trump is accelerating. On Thursday, Congressman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) filed a “resolution of inquiry” that amounts to the first legislative step toward impeachment. A new poll shows that registered…Read More
There are weird times, unsettling times, and then times that make you wonder if the entire universe hadn’t slipped into the grasp of some gibbering Chaos god content to cause widespread destruction and upheaval for the simple pleasure of moving things around.Read More
No group is more intimately familiar with necessary pain than recovering alcoholics and drug addicts. Addiction takes us on downward trajectories until a point, unique to each, that is simply unacceptable. Nothing motivates like total desperation.Read More

I’m traversing the streets, en route to the Citizen’s Cab lot to pick up my taxi, out on the industrial edge of town. And there is torrential rain, downed trees and flooding… BAD!
You can’t miss either of the two operative buzz-words being bandied around like so much meaningless noise in the last few months. The media rails about it, politicians whine over it, activists shout it….
