Growing Up with John E. Mack

JOHNMACKShould be noted that the day after I posted my critique of Carl Sagan’s The Demon Haunted World, in which I defended the work of the late Harvard psychiatrist John E. Mack, Aeon magazine posted an interesting article by Alexa Clay about growing up with him as her surrogate step dad:

“But as a kid largely ignorant of grander sociological forces, aliens were only one thing: scary. They had large black eyes and androgynous forms. And they were real — like ghosts and witches and monsters. In daylight, I was sceptical (the good little rationalist), but night-time brought with it a tide of magical thinking. I used to lie in bed and worry that maybe I would be abducted. I would even make supplicating promises of better behaviour in the hope of bartering with these outsiders — ‘I’ll be good, just leave me alone.’ In my secular progressive household, aliens offered a moral disciplining authority, an invisible spectator to police my actions.… Read the rest

Katy Perry Believes In Aliens, Plans To Ask Obama About Them

Well Katy, do you think that Barry will tell you what he really knows? From her new GQ interview:

She is, in every way, a California gurl. “I see everything through a spiritual lens,” she says. “I believe in a lot of astrology. I believe in aliens.”

Uh, what?

“I look up into the stars and I imagine: How self-important are we to think that we are the only life-form? I mean, if my relationship with Obama gets any better, I’m going to ask him that question. It just hasn’t been appropriate yet.”

Relationship with Obama?

“I might have won Wisconsin for him,” she says. “Actually, I didn’t do too much, but he called on me a couple of times. Which was very nice.”

Iranian Press Reports Snowden Documents Reveal Extraterrestrials In The U.S. Government

alienobama

And you thought NSA spying was a big deal…but at least their agents are humanoid. Iran’s leading news agency Farsnews reports the true revelation from the Snowden leaks on their English-language site:

Former National Security Agency (NSA) contractor Edward Snowden revealed documents providing incontrovertible proof that an alien/extraterrestrial intelligence agenda is driving US domestic and international policy, and has been doing so since at least 1945, some media reports said.

Snowden’s documents further confirm, this report says, [aliens'] meetings in 1954 with US President Dwight D. Eisenhower where the “secret regime” currently ruling over America was established.

Most disturbingly, this FSB report warns, is that the [alien] agenda being implemented by the “secret regime” ruling the United States calls for the creation of a global electronic surveillance system meant to hide all true information about their presence here on earth as they enter into what one of Snowden’s documents calls the “final phase” of their end plan for total assimilation and world rule.

The Dumbass Haunted World – When Propaganda Masquerades as Science

sacredsigilservitorBecause last week’s reblogging of Robert Anton Wilson’s rather harsh critique of Carl Sagan resulted in a rather spirited dialogue on my Facebook page (friend me), I did something weird. I decided to take some of my fans advice and actually read a bit of Sagan’s work, which I admitted in the post that I’d never truly done. Sadly, since I spend half my life working a soulless day job, I don’t normally have much time to commit to researching things I intentionally avoid for impromptu rants. But I quite quickly found a PDF of the Demon Haunted World, which is the book several people over the years have told me I absolutely need to read, because it WILL convince me I’m not psychic or something. Ugh, I don’t know what to tell you. I got through eight chapters or so and found myself utterly perplexed and a bit disgusted.… Read the rest

Canada’s Former Defense Minister Says Aliens Are Living Among Us

Russia Today speaks to Paul Hellyer, Canada's defense minister at the height of the Cold War, who claims that benevolent aliens infiltrated human civilization long ago:
During the Cold War, 1961, there were about 50 UFOs in formation flying south from Russia across Europe. The Supreme Allied Command investigated for 3 years and they decided that, with absolute certainty, four species - at least – had been visiting this planet for thousands of years. How many [extraterrestrial] species are there? I used to think between two and twelve, but the reports that I’ve been getting from sources are that there are about 80 different species…"Tall Whites"…"Short Greys"…and some of them look just like us and you wouldn’t know if you walked past one on the street. They come from various places. Different star systems – the Pleadis, Zeta Reticuli and several others…but in the past few months I have met [those] who made me aware that there are some in our own star system.

Richard Gordon: ‘Genesis of the Gods’

411px-The_magic_circle,_by_John_William_Waterhouse

Pic: ‘The Magic Circle’ by John William Waterhouse (PD)

In magick the circle has been generally accepted as being the universal symbol of protection, in ritual work it should not be seen as being a two dimensional disc but rather as a sphere of energy that totally encompasses the practitioner. This sacred space can then be safely utilized as a portal between our world and the mysterious other worldly realms of the gods.

The worship of gods and idols has been well documented throughout history and is evident within the belief structure of nearly every culture, but if asked the question, “From where and why did the pantheon of familiar idolized gods we know so well today arise?” most would be lost towards proposing a plausible answer, in fact I myself have been involved in many such empty ended raucous debates. Then several months ago whilst I was having an in depth chat on the subject of ritual healing, a chance remark by one of the people involved opened up a new avenue of thinking that may perhaps go a long way towards revealing the truth of the matter.… Read the rest

The Church of Subgenius: Slack Your Way to Salvation

DinoRidinBob-HR-SM(What a flashback! Chances are you’ve seen this before, but if not, consider this your call to Slack – ed.)

In what must be the most heretical form of the Abrahamic tradition to date, the Church of the Subgenius holds as its ultimate goal “slacking,” by the method “the casting out of false prophets,” the weapon “time control,” and the motto “F*** them if they can’t take a joke.” The pamphlet asks “Do you think you are STRANGE?  …Then you might be on the right track!”

Excerpts from the pamphlet:

JEHOVAH 1 – a.k.a. YAHWEH – is a mad alien, full of eyes round about, He cometh with the clouds, radioactive, all-pervading, He has forged His covenant with the SubGenius in CHAINS of GENETIC PROGRAMMING and DEMANDS OBEISANCE to His caveman sense of humor….We REBEL against the alien JEHOVAH 1 and yet PLACATE Him at the same time that He might not smite us with nuclear war, a worldwide economic disaster or hostile UFOS….… Read the rest

Starchild Skull Discoverer Lloyd Pye Dies

starchild-skullCryptoZooNews on Lloyd Pye, who died earlier this week and who argued for a human-alien connection based on a bizarre skull found in the Mexican desert:

Lloyd Anthony Pye is best known for his promotion of the Starchild skull, which he claims is the relic of a human-alien hybrid although DNA tests have shown it is from a human male. He also promote[d] the ideas that cryptozoological creatures such as Bigfoot are real and that aliens intervened to create life on Earth.

In addition to authoring books, Pye made television appearances on The Learning Channel, National Geographic Channel, Extra, Animal Planet, and Richard & Judy in the United Kingdom.

In the late 1990s, Pye obtained a curiously shaped skull from a couple in El Paso, Texas that he believes is an alien-human hybrid and proof that humans are descended from extraterrestrial beings he calls “terraformers”. DNA tests show that the skull is from a human male.

Magick, Aliens, and Skydiving: an In-Depth Interview with PuZuZu Ba’al

those-who-from-heaven-earth-came-puzuzu-baal-paperback-cover-artToday I’m interviewing PuZuZu Ba’al, and we are mostly going to be talking about his website “spellsandmagic.com” along with his experiences with alien life. To kick things off, other than Spells And Magic, do you want to talk a bit about yourself and your hobbies?

Myself now or… well to summarize it all up I was a little military brat and lived in quite a few different states and visited a few different countries in Europe. Started out in a mainstream religion; indoctrinated into the same mainstream religious stuff that most people are at a young age. Started into the occult probably around 16 or 17. My hobbies and stuff as far as now would be skydiving because when my dad was dying at the age of 50 (cancer, induced by Agent Orange) he told me, “Why don’t you do anything adventurous?” So I got into skydiving. I love it because it makes me feel like I have more of an appreciation for life when I do it.… Read the rest

Humans Came From Another Planet, New Book Claims

202Did we all originate from Mars or somewhere else? Dr Ellis Silver argues that we may have.

via Alien Disclosure Group (ADG)

This year, other scientists have argued that life originated on Mars, due to a mineral found in Martian meteorites, thought to be crucial to the genesis of life. Another experiment showed that amino acids could have arrived in impacts with comets, which suggests life might be widespread in the solar system.

But a new book by American ecologist Dr Ellis Silver argues that humans may well not be from Earth – and may have arrived separately. Silver offers arguments, based on human physiology, that suggest we may not have evolved alongside other life on Earth, but arrived from elsewhere, brought here by aliens as recently as a few tens of thousands of years ago.

Silver, an environmentalist  who is currently working with the effort to clean plastic debris from the Pacific, says his book aims to provoke debate, and is based on scientific work on the difference between humans and other animals.
