Was Poet Pablo Neruda Murdered by a CIA Operative?

Depending on who you ask, the Nobel Prize winning poet Pablo Neruda either died of prostate cancer or was killed by a CIA double agent as a part of the “tidying up” process of a U.S. backed right wing coup in Chile that ousted the Socialist Salvador Allende in favor of Generalissimo Augusto Pinochet.

Human rights lawyer Eduardo Contreras argues that new evidence suggests that the poet “was likely murdered by agents of dictator Augusto Pinochet” by way of an injection of poison. Neruda, who was radicalized during the Spanish Civil War, was both a world famous poet and an outspoken communist. Now, following new testimony from an old witness, a judge has ordered a search for a potential suspect in his murder, which appears to lead back to the CIA.

Ricin Mailer Believed He Was Exposing Illegal Organ Harvesting Conspiracy

ricin mailerMississippi man Kevin Curtis was arrested last week after mailing letters containing the deadly poison ricin to Barack Obama and Mississippi senator Roger Wicker. Buzzfeed reveals what may be the bizarre inspiration for the plot — it would seem that for years, the hospital janitor and Elvis impersonator has been attempting to wage war against a global organ-snatching conspiracy involving the highest levels of government:

[Curtis's] writings document “the actions of…a secret shadow government in which I feel have been put into place by higher powers to be in order to hide the truth behind the illegal organ harvesting market which I began investigating in 2000.”

Curtis  wrote on Facebook:

I’m on the hidden front lines of a secret war. A war that is making Billions of dollars for corrupt mafia related organizations and people. The United States Is Collecting World Leaders’ DNA

In the future, synthetic viruses will be unleashed which spread quickly, producing no symptoms — until they reach a targeted person whose DNA sequence unlocks the virus’s lethal abilities. The Atlantic reveals that preparations are already underway for this coming era of biological assassination:

U.S. Soldiers Committed Murders, Stockpiled Guns And Bomb Materials, In Plot To Assassinate Obama And Overthrow Government

In a disturbing report out of Georgia, prosecutors say four U.S. soldiers plotted to overthrow the government and assassinate President Obama. The soldiers allegedly bought $87,000 worth of “guns and bomb-making materials and plotted to take over Fort Stewart, bomb targets in nearby Savannah and Washington state, as well as assassinate the president.”

The plot was apparently uncovered in relation to a murder case surrounding the killing of in December. On Monday, Pfc. Michael Burnett, one of the accused soldiers, plead guilty to manslaughter and gang charges in the murder case. Burnett told a Long County judge that Roark, who had just left the Army, knew of the militia group’s plans and was killed because he was ‘a loose end.’

Yasser Arafat Likely Was Assassinated By Radioactive Poisoning

A Swiss laboratory says that at the time of his 2004 death, the Palestinian leader’s body contained high levels of polonium, the radioactive element which killed Russian spy-turned-dissident Alexander Litvinenko after it was slipped into his tea at a London restaurant in 2006. Via Al Jazeera:

Eight years after his death, it remains a mystery exactly what killed the longtime Palestinian leader. Tests conducted in Paris found no obvious traces of poison in Arafat’s system. Rumors abound about what might have killed him – cancer, cirrhosis of the liver, even allegations that he was infected with HIV.

A nine-month investigation by Al Jazeera has revealed that none of those rumors were true: Arafat was in good health until he suddenly fell ill on October 12, 2004.

More importantly, tests [at the Institut de Radiophysique in Lausanne, Switzerland] reveal that Arafat’s final personal belongings – his clothes, his toothbrush, his iconic kaffiyeh – contained abnormal levels of polonium, a rare, highly radioactive element.

Fox News Twitter Account Gets Hacked Announcing President Obama’s Assassination

With instant access to knowledge via technology, it’s easy to get the wrong news. While some  hackers may expose a private tweet or e-mail, others create fake news, like the assassination of the American president. Los Angeles Times reports:

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner falsely said his Twitter account was hacked just before Memorial Day weekend. But over the holiday weekend, it looks like real hackers attacked the @foxnewspolitics verified account, one of several Twitter accounts run by FoxNews.com.

A group calling itself “ScriptKiddies” claimed responsibility for the hack and also declared it has ties to the international hacker collective Anonymous.

The Tweets began appearing just after 2 a.m. ET on Monday, July 4, an hour and date likely calculated to maximize the time the Tweets were up before the account owner noticed or could do anything about it. The fake messages announced the assassination of President Obama during a visit to Iowa, but there were no links to news reports on the incident.
