Sex and death. Assassination. And through it all, a hope for enlightenment. Welcome to the American dream. What must this say about our psychology? What must this say about our collective consciousness?

The lead writer of a controversial movie was found dead along with his wife and daughter in a Minnesota home Saturday afternoon. Officers went to the house Saturday after a neighbor called to report bodies inside. Three people were found dead and have been identified as screenwriter David Crowley, his wife, Komel, 28, and their 5-year-old daughter.
A statement from Apple Valley police Sunday morning said the case would be considered “an apparent murder-suicide” and the deaths would be investigated as suspicious.
Next-door neighbor Collin Prochnow said he went to the house on Saturday to ‘gather packages that were sitting on the front steps’ when he looked inside and saw the bodies. Prochnow told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that the family had not been seen since Christmas and that a dog was also in the house.
David Crowley had been the lead screenwriter for the movie Gray State which depicts a violent police state in post-crisis America as people reject government policy en masse in frustration over economic collapse and the breakdown of society.

What is art?
That is the question many Brazilians have been forced to ask themselves after the country’s most important alternative art show displayed nine drawings depicting the assassination of world leaders.
Each charcoal drawing shows the artist, Gil Vicente of Recife, Brazil, holding a weapon moments before assassinating a world leader.
The exhibition is titled “Enemies” and is seen in the photo above.
One drawing depicts Vicente, the artist, holding a knife to the throat of Brazilian President Lula da Silva. Others show the artist pointing a gun at Pope Benedict XVI, former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan and Queen Elizabeth. Many have their hands and feet bound by rope.
The first piece in the series, completed in 2005, is a drawing depicting former US President George W Bush being shot. The most recent drawing, completed this year, depicts Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The National Security Agency is using complex analysis of electronic surveillance, rather than human intelligence, as the primary method to locate targets for lethal drone strikes – an unreliable tactic that results in the deaths of innocent or unidentified people.
According to a former drone operator for the military’s Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) who also worked with the NSA, the agency often identifies targets based on controversial metadata analysis and cell-phone tracking technologies. Rather than confirming a target’s identity with operatives or informants on the ground, the CIA or the U.S. military then orders a strike based on the activity and location of the mobile phone a person is believed to be using.
The drone operator, who agreed to discuss the top-secret programs on the condition of anonymity, was a member of JSOC’s High Value Targeting task force, which is charged with identifying, capturing or killing terrorist suspects in Yemen, Somalia, Afghanistan and elsewhere.

“Tell me what you want done,” the hit man says. “Do you want something done?”
“Oh, I want something done. I want that bitch’s face cut.”
Just saying it out loud, it’s the first step toward healing. Lucero knows that for sure now, and he says it repeatedly—cut her face up—and each time he feels lighter, a load off his heart, his pounding, suffering heart. The love of his life, she walked away laughing.
The hit man has ice blue eyes that don’t wander, don’t shift or pierce with disdain. “So you don’t want her dead, you want her scarred up?”
“Yeah,” Lucero says. “For all the money she took from me. All the money I gave—I gave her the world. And I got this back?
It’s been fifty years since the Kennedy assassination. Fifty years since the conspiracy subculture came screaming out of the hivemind’s womb. Fifty years since the CIA made “conspiracy theorist” a derogatory term (if you believe some people). I planned to acknowledge the day with some kind of drinking game associated with the Zapruder film, but I couldn’t make it work.
Everyone remembers where they were when Kennedy died, but no one seems to be able to pinpoint the moment they were dragged into conspiracy land. I was ripe for it. I believe everything I hear for at least five seconds. And there’s something sexy about an intricate web of connections. Thankfully, I was exposed to Robert Anton Wilson’s playful brand of agnosticism at an early age and escaped delusion’s evil clutches.
So, of course, he just had to be tied into the JFK assassination.
Wilson, in his introduction to the Prankster and the Conspiracy, says he was accused of being a CIA “handler” by author Kerry Thornley, who was convinced that he had been the subject of MK-Ultra experiments along with his army buddy, (here it comes) Lee Harvey Oswald.… Read the rest
The Kennedy family has long been said to be under a curse, dooming its member to early deaths. Will Joe Fontana be the next Kennedy to go? Looks like we’ll find out when the movie is released… in 3D.

The website Assassination Market is a crowdfunding service that lets anyone anonymously contribute bitcoins towards a bounty on the head of any government official–a kind of Kickstarter for political assassinations.
According to Assassination Market’s rules, if someone on its hit list is killed–and yes, Sanjuro hopes that many targets will be–any hitman who can prove he or she was responsible receives the collected funds.
In four months, six targets have been submitted by users, and bounties have been collected ranging from ten bitcoins for the murder of NSA director Keith Alexander and 40 bitcoins to 124.14 bitcoins targeting Ben Bernanke, chairman of the Federal Reserve. At Bitcoin’s current exchange rate, that’s nearly $75,000 for Bernanke’s would-be killer.
Sanjuro’s believes that if Assassination Market can persist and gain enough users, it will eventually enable the assassinations of enough politicians that no one would dare to hold office.
The television show In Search Of is a strange little chestnut from my childhood. I knew the show’s host, Leonard Nimoy from his turn as “Spock” in Star Trek repeats, and In Search Of’s focus on unexplained phenomena, missing persons and extraterrestrial encounters was right on target for a kid who already loved Sci-Fi.
I remember being terrified by the “Bigfoot” episode of the show and equally traumatized when the program took its cameras beneath the deep green waters of Loch Ness. But, not all of the show’s subjects were so “out there.” In 1980, their “Lee Harvey Oswald” episode dramatized the circumstances surrounding the assassination of JFK, including key evidence from authors and experts along the way.
The result is an insightful portrait of the self-proclaimed “patsy” that challenges the “lone gunman” contentions of the Warren Report. The centerpiece of the show is a Dallas police dictaphone recording that proves that there were four shots in Dealey Plaza that day in 1963.… Read the rest
Secretary of State John Kerry won’t go so far as to suggest the government’s involvement in the Kennedy assassination, but he recently told Tom Brokaw that he’s not sure Oswald acted alone.
To this day, I have serious doubts that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I certainly have doubts that he was motivated by himself, I mean I’m not sure if anybody else was involved — I don’t go down that road with respect to the Grassy Knoll theory and all that — but I have serious questions about whether they got to the bottom of Lee Harvey Oswald’s time and influence from Cuba and Russia. I think he (Oswald) was inspired somewhere by something.
