Spiritual Leader Made 400 Men Get Castrated to be ‘Closer to God’

Fellas: Would you castrate yourself to be closer to God? Didn’t think so, but there are at least 400 people who did, reports the Independent:

A man has been accused of encouraging hundreds of followers to be castrated in a promise for them to become closer to God.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, an Indian pop-star and telepreacher with a reported wealth of more than $50 million, is being investigated after he allegedly manipulated around 400 men to get their testicles removed – according to India Today.

One of his former followers who underwent castration seven years ago – named Hans Raj Chauhan – is one of the few to break the silence to speak out against him and the group.

“[The victims] were told that only those who get castrated will be able to meet God,” said Chauhan’s lawyer, Navkiran Singh, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

Men Can Live 20 Years Longer… But There’s A High Cost

If there was 100%, without a doubt proof that this worked. Would you do it?

Men, what would you be willing to give up to live a couple decades longer? Think carefully before you answer. Research has shown that men who are castrated may have significantly longer lifespans. Here’s what we know.

Behavior or Biology?

You’ve probably heard about the gender gap in human life expectancy. According to the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, females worldwide live an average of 73.5 years, while males average 68.5. Those figures can vary pretty drastically (life expectancy for both men and women is still less than 55 years throughout much of sub-Saharan Africa), but the last several decades have seen large gains in life expectancy across the globe, for men and women, alike. Still, the gender gap persists*. “Wherever they live in the world,” reported the World Health Organization in 2014, “women live longer than men.”

Why the disparity?

Apparently her husband had forgiven her after she cut off his penis. Then she came back and cut off the rest of his genitals.

During the first incident, Zhang reportedly crushed up sleeping pills and put them in Han Mou’s drink. When he fell asleep, she went after his private parts with some scissors and was able to flush his penis down the toilet before he woke up.

She was apparently worried that he was interested in another woman. “If he and I divorced, and that our children will have a stepmother, a terrible thing.” Zhang told China News.

Somehow Mou was able to forgive her. “I still love my wife,” he said. “She was 16 years old just like me, and gave me two sons.”

Zhang was released on bail and returned home to look after her husband and children.

According to the translation about what happened next, some time passed before Zhang became jealous again and used a syringe to inject a box of milk with crushed sleeping pills.

Castration Makes Men Live (Much) Longer

Play Balls
One imagines that telling a eunuch he’ll live 20 years longer is just adding insult to his injury, but in any event this “new” discovery has some people excited. Dr. Julyenne Wong reports for ABC News:

Call it making the best of a potentially bad situation. Eunuchs — castrated men — live nearly 20 years longer than other men, a new study has found.

The study of over 80 eunuchs from the Chosun Dynasty, which ruled in Korea from 1392 to 1897, looked at the world’s only known record of eunuchs’ lives and compared them to genealogical records of other men of similar social rank. The researchers cross-checked their results with other royal records.

They found that the average lifespan of a Korean eunuch was about 70 years, 14 to 19 years higher than non-castrated men of similar social standing.

Three of the 81 eunuchs lived to be over 100 years old.

Male Spider Castrates Himself And Gets More Stamina

Writes Ed Yong on Discovery News:
To become both a lover and a fighter, the male spider Nephilengys malabarensis snaps off his penis inside his partner while they have sex. He becomes better at fending off other males who try to mate with her, because his now-lightened body can fight for longer without tiring. And while he’s playing the guardian, his detached genitals can continue pumping sperm into the female. Through self-castration, he gets more stamina, and he gets more stamina. I first wrote about the self-castrating spider a few months ago. Then, Daiqin Li from the National University of Singapore confirmed that the severed penis continues to pump sperm into the female. That allows the newly minted eunuch to fertilise her remotely, while also blocking the way to other males...

Poland Okays Forcible Castration For Pedophiles

Is this the best way to deal with pedophiles? A lot of people would say yes – thoughts?

Reuters report:

WARSAW (Reuters) – Poland on Friday approved a law making chemical castration mandatory for pedophiles in some cases, sparking criticism from human rights groups.

Under the law, sponsored by Poland’s center-right government, pedophiles convicted of raping children under the age of 15 years or a close relative would have to undergo chemical therapy on their release from prison.

“The purpose of this action is to improve the mental health of the convict, to lower his libido and thereby to reduce the risk of another crime being committed by the same person,” the government said in a statement.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk said late last year he wanted obligatory castration for pedophiles, whom he branded ‘degenerates’. Tusk said he did not believe “one can use the term ‘human’ for such individuals, such creatures.”

“Therefore I don’t think protection of human rights should refer to these kind of events,” Tusk also said.
