Distortion of Dorner Manifesto by Mainstream Media

Michael S. Rozeff writes at LewRockwell.com:

Expect severe distortion of the Dorner Manifesto by the MSM. You cannot simply read headlines and expect to know anything. You have to do more research than that to understand any issue. You also cannot read only the news articles of one or a few sources, especially the established or mainstream media. These routinely editorialize within so-called news accounts. They selectively choose and distort material.

A case in point is an article popping up in Google news that is here. It is written by Sharon Bernstein and it’s under an NBC affiliate (4NBC Southern California). I have also already seen and read a CNN article that interspersed misleading editorial statements with quotes from the Dorner Manifesto. Bernstein’s article is totally irresponsible journalism.

Ms. Bernstein msinterpets Dorner as choosing victims on the basis of race and sex bias. This is completely false!! In each case where race and sex are mentioned, he focuses on their behavior and what he charges them with doing.

Police Suspected Of Starting Fire That Killed Chris Dorner

It's uncertain if the charred remains of a human body found inside the razed mountain cabin are those of Christopher Dorner, but it looks highly likely. Now the questions is whether or not the San Bernardino Police and/or the LAPD set the fire on purpose, which also looks likely. From the Guardian:
It is not yet clear how the fire at the cabin was started, but there is speculation that the police started it deliberately. The audio track of this video purports to be the conversation on police scanners as they surrounded the cabin where Dorner was hiding. The Guardian cannot confirm that the audio track is a genuine recording of the police scanner. At around the 1min mark, a male voice says: All right, Steve, we're gonna go, er, we're gonna go forward with the plan, with, er, with the burn. We want it, er, like we talked about....

Dorner Surrounded By Police – Gun Battle – Hundreds Of Rounds Fired

BREAKING NEWS, via the LA Times:

“Hundreds of rounds” were exchanged in about half an hour during the gun battle between fugitive former police officer Christopher Dorner and law enforcement officers Tuesday afternoon, sources said.

At least two San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies were wounded, sources said. Their conditions were not immediately known.

Days ago, Dorner broke into a cabin off Route 38, a source said. He allegedly tied up the couple inside and held them hostage until Tuesday morning when he left. It is unclear whether Dorner stole their vehicle or another, but Fish and Wildlife officers knew to be on the lookout for a white pickup truck when they spotted Dorner driving one and attempted to stop him, the source said.

Dorner crashed the truck during the ensuing chase and allegedly exchanged gunfire with the officers as he fled into another cabin, where he was quickly surrounded by San Bernardino sheriff’s deputies.

Los Angeles Residents Trying Not To Be Shot By LAPD

In their ongoing manhunt for Christopher Dorner, the former LAPD officer gone murderously rogue, Los Angeles police have twice opened fire on innocent people without warning or reason. Last week, cops shot a woman and her elderly mother driving in a car mistaken for Dorner's (although both the license plate and the color of the vehicle were wrong). Police later let loose a hail of bullets on a man driving a pickup truck believed to be Dorner's (although, again, the vehicle make and color didn't match). In response, Buzzfeed notes, a local meme has been created by people hoping not to be blown away by L.A.'s finest:

The Media Loves Manhunts: Can Chris Dorner Survive?

Only in California, home of the late Huey P. Newton and then the Symbionese Liberation Army that went several steps further, do characters emerge that transcend every action movie fantasy and stereotype, characters like an ex-cop who has declared war on the police on, of all places, Facebook in a 6000 word statement that’s being described as “rambling.” (He never claimed he was writer.)

He denounces police practices that he considers racist and abusive, although the sheer drama of the manhunt will make it unlikely that media outlets will seriously delve into the substance of his charges.

Here is the full, uncensored text of his posting.

Christopher Jordan Dorner is being pictured as the “mad man” of the hour, playing himself in the manhunt of the week, accused of three murders that he denies, or appears deny as the author of a statement that’s being labeled a manifesto adding political weight to what began as personal crusade for self-vindication.… Read the rest

Christopher Dorner: Unanswered Questions Surround LAPD Manhunt

Christopher Dorner with ex-LAPD Chief William Bratton

The news media can’t get enough of the LAPD’s manhunt of alleged cop-killer Christopher Dorner, himself a former LAPD officer. For some interesting commentary check out Davey D’s Hip Hop Corner:

All eyes are on Christopher Dorner the fired LAPD officer who is the subject of a massive manhunt that involves more than 1000 cops up and down the state of California and in Nevada. He’s accused of gunning down three people including Monica Quan, a popular basketball coach and the daughter of a former LAPD captain and her fiance Keith Lawrence who is described as mentor to many and recently graduated from a police academy.

Dorner’s also accused of shooting 3 police officers killing one in Riverside California…In an 11 page manifesto that he posted on-line, Dorner lays out the reasons he’s on the rampage and why he’s down to take out his fellow officers and their family members.
