Try as I might, I can’t get this clown out of my head. The Northampton Chronicle and Echo has an update on the previously reported mysterious figure who has captured the public imagination by terrifying residents:

New video footage of the Northampton Clown emerging from Abington Park lake has been recorded by the Chronicle & Echo. It is the first video footage that has been obtained of the Northampton Clown, whose identity still remains a mystery.

In an exclusive interview with the Chronicle & Echo last week, The Northampton Clown, who wishes to remain anonymous, said that he was planning to continue making appearances in the town. The clown said he wanted people to see it as a bit of “harmless fun”.

The Northampton Clown said he had received more than 1,000 death threats sent to the message inbox of his Facebook page.

About 700 clowns attended the Fifteenth International Clown Convention in Mexico City last Wednesday, where attendees set a new record. After laughing for 15 minutes, the clowns could not break the “laughing world record” but were able to break the national record in Mexico.

Clowns from the United States, Peru, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and other countries attended three days of meetings, which began on 18 October, participating in conferences, exhibitions and make up competitions.
