Tim Wallace-Murphy Lectures on Hidden Wisdom

A few years ago disinformation brought freemason and esoteric historian Tim Wallace-Murphy to New York to give a lecture on Hidden Wisdom at the Chancellor Robert R. Livingston Masonic Library of the Grand Lodge of New York. The lecture was based on his book Hidden Wisdom: Secrets of the Western Esoteric Tradition.

If you’re interested in the book, it’s on sale for just $4.49 using the coupon code “book blowout” SOLD OUT (We’re blowing out ALL of our books: the coupon is valid for 50% OFF already discounted prices).

What I’ve learned as a Freemason and why I left the order

Freemasons' Hall 1927: London art deco
I joined Freemasonry out of a deep-seated yearning for truth and mystery. That yearning is something some people are just born with and others aren’t. Personally, I had a hunch that the allegories of Freemasonry were based on ancient astrolatry, not to be confused with astrology[1]. In other words, the allegories of Freemasonry are a play on the ancient mysteries about light (the sun) overcoming darkness.[2] I couldn’t just read and wonder about it, though. I wanted to confirm it for myself by becoming a Freemason. After years of studying it and becoming a 32° Mason, I’m comfortable asserting that to be true and feel that I’ve confirmed my hunch.

What I’ve learned.

There are allegories embedded within the religions of the world and Freemasonry describes them. [3] These allegories describe scientific truths and philosophic concepts and don’t fall within the realm of occult pseudoscience or superstition. The craft of Freemasonry is, therefore, a historical and scientific inference rather than a cult or religion.… Read the rest

Conspiracy or Coincidence? Gmail version

Any Disinfonaut worth his or her salt will surely already know how the CIA made Google and how Google is poised to become the Ministry of Truth.

Say it ain't so, Morpheus!

Say it ain’t so, Morpheus!

The dauntless conspiriologists at The Resistance Journals have made another alarming discovery of a symbolic nature, this time concerning Google’s popular email platform, Gmail.

They write:

Freemasonry, like many dozens of other secret societies have branches and off-shoots. I won’t get any deeper into it for two reasons. 1. You can literally spend 15 minutes on YouTube and learn more than the average person will ever know, and 2. because it’s not needed for this article.

One of these Freemasonic “sister” organizations (if you can call it that), and I say sister for a reason, is the “Order of the Eastern Star.”

The Order of the Eastern Star is a special part of Freemasonry (again, not sure if I should call it that) because members can be both male and female.

Occultists, Freemasons, And The Secret History of Radical Islam

Aleister Crowley in a Turban.

In 1910, the English occultist, Freemason, and poet, Aleister Crowley, published a strange and now little-known work called The Scented Garden of Abdullah: The Satirist of Shiraz under the name Abdullah el Haji. In the work, which imitated Sufi poetry, Crowley claims to have been accepted into “the joyous company of the Sufis,” but that he cannot openly discuss Islamic mysticism, “if only because I am a Freemason.”

In other words, the English occultist was suggesting that Sufism and Freemasonry were in some way connected, whether philosophically or through historical ties. He, however, was not the only one to think this. The explorer Sir Richard Francis Burton – whose translation of Eastern texts influenced Western spirituality – believed that Sufism was “The Eastern parent of Free-Masonry.” And, later, modern Sufi and author Idries Shah would make much the same claim.

It is now well known that Freemasonry – a fraternity founded in London in 1717, but with roots going back to medieval Britain – had a significant influence on occultism and alternative spirituality in the West.… Read the rest

The Use of DMT in Early Masonic Ritual

I must say, the concept of DMT ritual being associated with freemasonry or the existence of psychedelic secret societies in the deep south are both topics I was completely unaware of until tipped off by a fellow esoteric writer on FB by the name of PD Newman. Compelling reading, for sure:

What qualifies a Man for the Seventh Order [of Masonry]? A. …the Composition of the Grand Elixir. (Post Boy Exposé, 1723)1

As outlandish as it may sound, allusions to the entheogenic properties of the acacia are commonplace in Masonic literature and various rituals. For, it would appear that the psychoactive nature of acacia was fairly widely known in certain Masonic circles at least up until the late 1700s. However, some time between the mid to late 18th century and the 19th century occult revival, the secrets of acacia, like the true word of a Master Mason, appear to have been lost.… Read the rest

Gangs Used Freemasons To Corrupt Police

New Scotland Yard sign 3The Freemasons, gangs and police in question are in Great Britain, but it would be surprising if exactly this kind of thing wasn’t happening in America too. From The Independent:

Secret networks of Freemasons have been used by organised crime gangs to corrupt the criminal justice system, according to a bombshell Metropolitan Police report leaked to The Independent.

Operation Tiberius, written in 2002, found underworld syndicates used their contacts in the controversial brotherhood to “recruit corrupted officers” inside Scotland Yard, and concluded it was one of “the most difficult aspects of organised crime corruption to proof against”.

The report – marked “Secret” – found serving officers in East Ham east London who were members of the Freemasons attempted to find out which detectives were suspected of links to organised crime from other police sources who were also members of the society.

Famous for its secret handshakes, Freemasonry has long been suspected of having members who work in the criminal justice system – notably the judiciary and the police.

Randall Carlson – Cosmic Origins of the Holy Grail & Cycles of Catastrophe

Via SacredGeometryInternational.com

Randall Carlson is a professional designer and builder, student of Sacred Geometry and a long time Freemason. He is uniquely qualified to interpret the hidden meaning of the great masterpieces of mystical architecture. It is his aspiration to affect a revival of lost knowledge towards the goal of creating the new world based upon universal principles of harmony, freedom, and spiritual evolution. Randall emphasizes the cyclical nature of time and the periodic catastrophes responsible for the collective amnesia of our species. He returns to discuss Sangreal, The Holy Grail: Recovering the Cosmic Science of Antiquity, the connection to cyclical catastrophe and the onset of ice ages and warming periods in Earth’s history. We’ll discuss comets and panspermia. In the second hour, we speak more about grail symbolism and the mysterious red rain that came down over Kerala in India in 2001. We also talk about alchemical art and the plagues of Egypt as environmental catastrophic events.… Read the rest

Sangreal, The Holy Grail: Recovering the Lost Science of Antiquity – Part 4

Sangreal_4That the legendary Holy Grail of western esotericism has a cosmic dimension of meaning has been the theme of three articles published in the pages of The Oracle previous to this month’s contribution. The Holy Grail story has intrigued the minds and piqued the curiosity of seekers of knowledge for centuries, without, however, yielding up either its secrets or a consensus of interpretation. We ended last month’s article with a quote from a modern exploration of the Grail mythos, Holy Blood, Holy Grail, a best seller in the mid 1980s that eventually served as the main source of inspiration for The DaVinci Code, a fictionalized popularization of certain aspects of Grail symbolism.

In last month’s article I wrote of the Language of the Birds, the secret language of Initiates, Alchemists and Adepts of the Mysteries. It could either be spoken or written. I described how it was based on the use of puns, homilies, synonyms, etymologies and plays-on- words that concealed secondary and even tertiary levels of meaning that only made sense to those with the keys to decipherment and the conceptual framework to make sense of the alternate meanings.… Read the rest
