The History of the Grail – 12th Century, Anonymous

In last month’s article, after a discussion regarding dragons and other symbols employed by ancient peoples to represent celestial objects, I wrote: “Literacy in this language of cosmic symbolism opens up a whole new domain of understanding about our human past on this planet . . .” In that article and in the two preceding I discussed close encounters between these celestial objects and Earth, emphasizing the destructive potential inherent in such occurrences. While there is a great deal more that could, and should be said about the role of cosmically triggered catastrophes throughout both planetary and human history, in this article I will call attention to the other side of the equation, and hopefully, in the process, shed some light upon one of the most enigmatic and powerful of all esoteric symbols—the Holy Grail.… Read the rest

400-Year-Old Masonic Secret Chamber Uncovered In Historic British Manor

Do the rituals of freemasonry go back further than anyone has realized? The BBC reports:

A secret chamber, hidden for 400 years and with possible links to early freemasonry, has been discovered.

The entrance to the room, which has plastered walls, was found inside a cupboard at the National Trust-owned house Canons Ashby, near Daventry. It is a paneled room with walls showing crests of local families and enigmatic symbols.

Laura Malpas, community manager of the trust, said there was “speculation” the room had been an early masonic lodge. Ms. Malpas said it was “a fascinating and puzzling space” with walls that include “frankly odd Latin texts.” She added: “There has been speculation that this room was used as an early form of Masonic lodge before Freemasonry was established in England some 130 years later in 1717.”

Freemasons To Have A Reality Show On Australian TV

I’m expecting the ritualistic hedonism of traditional reality programs, but with an occult flair. ANIMAL New York writes:

Freemasons have always had a bit of an image problem. Apparently, a clandestine fraternal order that counts world leaders among its ranks and which engages in secret occult rituals makes everyday people suspicious. So, over the past few decades, Masonic organizations have tried to change the public’s perception of their mysterious group.

Adding to this collective PR effort is a new 26 episode TV series called Freemasons: The Inside Story. It will profile masons in Victoria, Australia and promises that watchers will “gain unprecedented access into the truth about Freemasonry. Its people, its purpose and its past.” But with the majority of its members unaware of the more esoteric manifestations of the all-boys club, don’t expect any ‘Da Vinci Code’-like revelations.

The Boy Who Cried Wolf: 2012, Fenrir and Asteroid DA 14

Via SacredGeometryInternational.com

We all remember the well known fable told by the ancient Greek slave and storyteller, Aesop, about the shepherd boy drafted to keep watch over a flock of sheep, and who, out of boredom, decided it would be great fun to fool the nearby villagers by pretending that a wolf was attacking the sheep. After the villagers rushed out to save the sheep a number of times based upon the boys fabrications they refused to believe him when the wolf actually did show up and began to consume the sheep. The obvious declared moral of the story is generally expressed as “There is no believing a liar, even when he is telling the truth.” However, there is, I submit, a second, unstated moral to the story as well. In spite of the shepherd boys prevarications the wolf was real. And the wolf did, in the end, show up to devour the poor sheep.

Randall Carlson and Scott Onstott: The Science of Prophecy, Harmonic Design, and The Great Work

Via Sacred Geometry International For our inaugural Sacred Geometry International Radio episode, we are very excited to feature a fascinating conversation between independent scholar Randall Carlson and esoteric researcher Scott Onstott.  In this discussion, Scott and Randall consider the potential meaning of the harmonic proportions of Sacred Geometry, as they are redundantly encoded throughout the ancient kingdom, most notably in structures such as the Great Pyramid of Cheops at Giza. Questions raised include whether our remote ancestors understood the size and shape of the Earth with accuracy rivaling modern satellite surveys?  Could they have measured the speed of light in not only miles but meters per second and encoded these fundamental constants of nature into the geometry of the Great Pyramid? If so for what possible purpose? Were our ancestors aware of a cycle of catastrophe and to what lengths might they have gone to to preserve such knowledge?

Illuminati Symbolism In A Disney Cartoon Series

The new-ish Disney Channel animated children's vehicle Gravity Falls appears to have been greatly influenced by a conspiracy buff, with Freemasonry and occult references hidden throughout, and even cyphered messages hidden in the theme song. Some see it as more sinister than fun. Via Vigilant Citizen:
The same set of symbols – those of the ruling elite – are being permeated across popular culture. A blatant example is Disney’s new show Gravity Falls, a “quirky and endearing” cartoon about 12-year old twins spending summer with their Great Uncle Stan in Gravity Falls, Oregon.

Secret Masonic Ritual Revealed in Coded Manuscript

Picture: Kevin Knight, Beáta Megyesi, Christiane Schaefer (CC)

This has all the makings of a Dan Brown novel…

Via The Hermetic Library:

A curious enciphered manuscript was discovered in an East German library in 1970 and eluded all attempts at decipherment. The document was forgotten until it fell into the hands of a private collector and recently came to the knowledge of an international team of academics from the U.S. and Sweden. In April 2011 the “Copiale Cipher” was broken, studied, and released to the public six months later. It contained rituals that caused a great deal of excitement in the mainstream press. Due to translation errors, the press missed an opportunity to arouse public interest with another mysterious topic that often grabs headlines: the Cipher protected an 18th-century German Masonic ritual.
