Sorcery and Psychedelics: Dark Fantasy Tropes in Graham Hancock’s Fiction

LEGLITCHARD

My sci-fantasy graphic novel TRETA-YUGA, now live on Kickstarter, has been inspired by Graham Hancock’s bibliography (and a host of other authors). I wanted to take the time to trace some of these influences while simultaneously reviewing Hancock’s newly released epic Return of the Plumed Serpent, the second installment of the War God trilogy.

Graham Hancock is a legendary author, and therefore writing about his work can be prove to be immensely daunting. So much has already been said, and yet there are a great number of themes that I do not see discussed in his work.

For better or worse, the psychedelic activism that he has been adamant about in recent years is given more attention than the majestically magic worlds of his fiction, which he considers a more important vehicle for the translation of entheodelic visions that have consumed him in the over 100+ ayahuasca/DMT experiences he’s had.… Read the rest

Decoding The Gematria Of The English Alphabet By Marty Leeds

Via GrahamHancock.com Alchemy_Manly_P_Hall Marty Leeds has a new article available now.

Greetings readers. My name is Marty Leeds and I am the author of three books, Pi & The English Alphabet Volume 1, Volume 2 and the recently released The Peacock’s Tales – The Alchemical Writings of Claudia Pavonis. I have uncovered a mathematical cipher hidden beneath the English Alphabet that is based on religious and secret society symbols and methodologies (a deconstruction we will explore in this article). I have an ongoing lecture series discussing symbolism, mythology, numerology, gematria and sacred geometry on my sites www.martyleeds33.com and www.youtube.com/martyleeds33 showing the myriad ways in which we can utilize this numeric cryptogram. The following article is an excerpt from my book The Peacock’s Tales – The Alchemical Writings of Claudia Pavonis. Thank you in advanced for your time and consideration.

Gematria is the art of assigning numbers to letters to reveal deeper meanings and significance to words.… Read the rest

An exerpt from my interview with Author, fellow Disinfonaut and amazing beard-haver, Gabriel D. Roberts:

“… Let’s be honest, there’s a lot to hate, especially from fundamentalist perspectives… It’s hard to break out of it and once you do, you violently oppose it because you recognize that you were under a spell… I didn’t know what to do and I didn’t know where to go and directly from there, I went into a drug binge in which I was trying to bury my feelings… But, what I’ve found is whatever you want to call ‘God’ it’s much bigger than the things that are in these little books…”

You know those beautiful and rare occasions where you speak to someone for the first time and find that your personal philosophies seem to line up almost completely?  For me, Author and fellow Disinformation contributor Gabriel D.Read the rest

Graham Hancock Tries Changa

Graham Hancock has been very outspoken on the issue of sovereignty of one’s own consciousness in recent years, and has been quite open about his experimentation with hallucinogens including Ayahuasca, ibogaine and DMT. In a new article on his website he describes his new experience with changa (a smokable blend of plants including some with DMT):

One recent evening six sovereign adults, taking full responsibility for their own consciousness and their own bodies, gathered for sacred ceremony with changa, a herbal mixture rich in monamine oxidase inhibitors and infused with the forbidden fruit of DMT. I was one of those adults and the two bowls I smoked were respectively my twelfth and thirteenth journeys with inhaled DMT. I have done regular work with DMT over the years in its incarnation in the Ayahuasca brew, more than 50 journeys since 2003, but as everybody who chooses to explore these realms knows, drinking Ayahuasca is special, there is usually a fair degree of negotiation with the brew, the experience is drawn out over several hours and the loving spirit of the vine, Gaian mother of our planet, is the guiding hand.

Graham Hancock’s New Discoveries Pointing To Ancient Civilization

Gunung Padang SiteIn a lengthy Facebook post bestselling author Graham Hancock previews some of his research for a sequel to his number one bestseller, Fingerprints of the Gods: The Evidence of Earth’s Lost Civilization:

“Everything we’ve been taught about the origins of civilization may be wrong,” says Danny Natawidjaja, PhD, senior geologist with the Research Centre for Geotechnology at the Indonesian Institute of Sciences. “Old stories about Atlantis and other a great lost civilizations of prehistory, long dismissed as myths by archaeologists, look set to be proved true.”

I’m climbing with Dr Natawidjaja up the steep slope of a 300-ft high step-pyramid set amidst a magical landscape of volcanoes, mountains and jungles interspersed with paddy fields and tea plantations a hundred miles from the city of Bandung in West Java, Indonesia.

The pyramid has been known to archaeology since 1914 when megalithic structures formed from blocks of columnar basalt were found scattered amongst the dense trees and undergrowth that then covered its summit.
