A homeless man, who found a human skull, walked into Publix using it as a puppet. This happened in Florida.

Shoppers at a Publix in Sebastian, Florida, called 911 Tuesday afternoon after spotting a homeless man carrying around an actual human skull.

“He was using it as a puppet,” said witness Nick Pecoraro to WPBF. “It smelled like death.”

According to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, the unidentified homeless man–who was living in the woods across the street from the grocery store– found the human remains in a secluded area away from the homeless “camps” and decided to carry the skull into the Publix to report the body.

16 Human Skulls Found On Streets Of Prague

Via Fox News, it’s skull season:

Police in Prague say 15 human skulls have been found in a wooden box found on a street, and another was found in a garbage bin.

Spokeswoman Jana Roesslerova says police found the 15 skulls Thursday morning near a garbage container after they were alerted by a telephone caller. Roesslerova says each skull was numbered. She says another skull, also bearing a number, was found in a garbage bin Wednesday by a homeless person.

Police say it is not clear whether the two cases are connected. They have asked experts to help in their investigation.

Austrian Man Charged After 56 Human Skulls Are Found at His Home

An Austrian man is to be charged with disturbing the peace of the dead after police found 56 human skulls and 55 other bones at a museum he had created in his home.

Police in the province of Burgenland said the relics were taken without authorisation from a church cemetery and had now been returned.

The 47-year-old man, whose name was not immediately released, came to the attention of police when he tried to sell three skulls and two thigh bones at a flea market.

A police spokesman said he had never encountered such a case in his 37 years in the force and knew neither why the man had collected the bones nor why he had tried to sell some of them.

“But there’s nothing new under the sun,” he said.
