Does it Really Matter That Tamerlan Tsarnaev Liked InfoWars?

Some online sources are reporting that accused (and very much deceased) Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev liked Alex Jones’ InfoWars website. Does that really matter? I’m not the biggest fan of InfoWars, personally, but painting Alex Jones as some kind of guilty party just because some accused murderer liked his work doesn’t seem fair to me. It reminds me of the Satanic Panic of the eighties: Cops, educators, preachers and parents tried to blame Dungeons & Dragons and heavy metal music every time a fan of either committed a crime.

For all we know, Tsarnev was a disinfo.com reader. Or a cracked.com fan. Or a Redditor. Maybe he liked banana pudding, or enjoyed playing Extreme Frisbee.

It doesn’t matter. Alex Jones isn’t accused of setting off bombs in Boston, and InfoWars sure didn’t direct Tsarnaev – or anyone else – to go out and murder and maim innocent people. It no more fair to blame Jones than it would be to blame Tsarnaev’s religious faith (incidentally, his local mosque won’t give him an Islamic funeral) or choice in toothpaste.… Read the rest

Well, that didn’t take long. Less than 24 hours after the Norway killings, Alex Jones’ massively-surfed Infowars site already is fronting with the theory that the tragedy was all part of a conspiracy by European elites to deflect populist disgust at bailouts:

The false flag attack in Norway arrives as populism grows in Germany, Europe’s reluctant paymaster for the contrived debt-based economic crisis. Establishment politicians in Germany have balked at a second bankster bailout … The EU and the European political establishment are beholden to the bankers and their “free market” — as in free to loot and plunder — neoliberal policies and have now pulled out all the stops in an effort to crush resistance to endless bailouts designed to crash local economies and destroy national sovereignty.

It is no mistake the corporate media is comparing Anders Behring Breivik to Timothy McVeigh.

Wikileaks’ Julian Assange to Address 9/11 Conspiracy?

Julian Assange may be about to address concerns over his comments last year that 9/11 truth was a “false conspiracy” which he found “annoying”. Assange made the statement despite Wikileaks’ 2009 release of half a million pager messages on the day of 9/11 from New York City officials, many of which contradicted the official story.

The Wikileaks founder is currently in London embroiled in an extradition appeal relating to allegations of rape, which many suspect are unfounded and part of a smear campaign against Assange.

An increasing number of activists are questioning Assange’s motives, including some of his former colleagues like Cryptome’s John Young. However, we have noted that Anonymous, the hacking collective that has vigorously defended Assange, is doing excellent work in exposing the power elite head on, particularly with their intention to shine a light on the secretive gathering of globalists at this week’s Bohemian Grove confab.
