Jesse Ventura: U.S. Becoming A Fascist State That Puts Fluoride In Water

Jesse VenturaIn a wide-ranging interview with Salon, former Minnessota Governor Jesse Ventura relates how his wife “said something to me the other day that was extremely profound, and I hope people in this country pay attention and read a bit of history. My wife and I do a great deal of reading and she looked at me the other day and said, “You know, the people of the United States of America right now are behaving identical to the German people in the ’30s.”:

Q: Is that something you really worry about — the U.S. becoming a fascist state?

JV: I worry about it tremendously. We’re forever incorporating Nazi things into our lives. Fluoride in the water, that was originally done by the Nazis! I don’t particularly like anything the Nazis did too much, and they were the first ones to put fluoride in the water. They tell us, “Oh, it’s for your teeth” and all that — well, isn’t that your parents’ job, to teach you how to brush your teeth and use mouthwash?

Back Together Again: Ron Paul and Jesse Ventura

In a new two-part “Off The Grid” conversation Jesse Ventura and the former U.S. Representative from Texas, Dr. Ron Paul, discuss what Barack Obama should actually be sued for; if Sarah Palin can possibly lead an impeachment charge against the President; and if our economy is on the verge of massive inflation.

Some choice quotes from their discussion:

[Ron Paul on inflation] “Never vote for an increase in spending, because deficits are very, very dangerous to us, and yet most of the people are still not worried about it.”

[Ron Paul on the Federal Reserve] “That should be a starter– get rid of the Fed! Of course, I don’t expect that to happen. The Fed will end itself; nobody’s going to legislate the end of the Fed.”

In the second part of their “Off The Grid” conversation, Jesse and Ron discuss how we need to legalize marijuana at the state level; if the U.S.… Read the rest

Jesse Ventura Wins Defamation Case, Awarded $1.8 Million

A quick update to my recent post “Jesse Ventura Claims Loss of Work and Income Due to Defamation“: CBS News reports that Jesse Ventura is victorious in his defamation case against the estate of American Sniper author Chris Kyle and the jury has awarded him $1.8 million:

ST. PAUL, Minnesota — A jury awarded former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura $1.8 million on Tuesday in his lawsuit against the estate of “American Sniper” author Chris Kyle.

Ventura was awarded $1.3 million for unjust enrichment, and $500,000 in damages for defamation, CBS station WCCO reports.

On the sixth day of deliberations, the federal jury decided that the 2012 best-selling book defamed Ventura in its description of a bar fight in California in 2006. Kyle wrote that he decked a man whom he later identified as Ventura after the man allegedly said the Navy SEALs “deserve to lose a few.”

Ventura testified that Kyle fabricated the passage about punching him.

Jesse Ventura Claims Loss of Work and Income Due to Defamation

Screen Shot 2014-07-15 at 2.11.46 PMFormer Governor of Minnesota (and ex-Navy SEAL, pro wrestler, TV host, author and general badass political gadfly) Jesse Ventura is suing the estate of Chris Kyle (who wrote the 2012 bestseller American Sniper) for defamation. In the book Kyle claimed that he punched out Ventura after the latter publicly derided dead SEALs in a California bar popular with SEALs. The trial is ongoing in federal court in St. Paul, MN and needless to say there is conflicting testimony, reported here by TwinCities.com. In this excerpt we learn of the Governor’s loss of reputation and income:

Chuck Webber, an attorney for the Kyle estate, cross-examined Ventura for much of the morning. Webber raised many of Ventura’s own colorful statements in an effort to illustrate that the former professional wrestler and celebrity needed no help from Kyle in sullying his own name.

Those ranged from a news conference outside a courthouse in which Ventura declared he was seeking Mexican citizenship to escape the “Fascist States of America” to a book passage that described “an Army run by Christianist extremists” to another passage saying women had to expect some level of harassment on the street.

Jesse Ventura/Howard Stern For President 2016

Jesse “The Body” Ventura for President! When asked whether he would run for president someday, former Minnesota governor and former professional wrestler Jesse Ventura said: sure, why not.“I like the idea of waging war on the Democrats and the Republicans,” Ventura told POLITICO. “I enjoy it because they’re so vulnerable. They’re so easy. If I can debate them, I can beat them.”

Jesse Ventura has said in the past that he did not want to run for president, but that has now changed.

VIA Politico

“It all comes down to whether Howard will do it, and I need Howard,” said Ventura, adding that Stern’s access to satellite radio — and millions of listeners — will not only help out fundraising but free Ventura from the Federal Communications Commission.

“I can use his radio station right up to the day of the election to win this thing without spending any money,” Ventura said.

Jesse Ventura to Federal Elected Officials: End the Government Shut Down and Regain Our Civil Liberties

ventura memoFormer Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura has started a petition on Change.org calling for an end to the government shutdown. Click HERE to sign the petition if you agree with this:

A million federal employees have been laid off since the government shut down. It costs us, the taxpayers, over 300 million dollars a day. The representatives that work for us are still getting paid, even though they’ve declared they won’t show up for work. Can you imagine walking into your job today and telling your boss that you won’t be showing up to work, but you demand your boss still pays you? How well do you think that conversation will play out?

As I’ve said many times before, every American citizen deserves free health care. It isn’t socialism; it’s the right thing to do. Even though I don’t agree with President Obama on many issues, I do know that he was re-elected because We The People, the majority, wanted the Affordable Care Act.
