In a new two-part “Off The Grid” conversation Jesse Ventura and the former U.S. Representative from Texas, Dr. Ron Paul, discuss what Barack Obama should actually be sued for; if Sarah Palin can possibly lead an impeachment charge against the President; and if our economy is on the verge of massive inflation.
Some choice quotes from their discussion:
[Ron Paul on inflation] “Never vote for an increase in spending, because deficits are very, very dangerous to us, and yet most of the people are still not worried about it.”
[Ron Paul on the Federal Reserve] “That should be a starter– get rid of the Fed! Of course, I don’t expect that to happen. The Fed will end itself; nobody’s going to legislate the end of the Fed.”
In the second part of their “Off The Grid” conversation, Jesse and Ron discuss how we need to legalize marijuana at the state level; if the U.S.… Read the rest
Much has been written about Jesse Ventura’s defamation case against the estate of American Sniper author Chris Kyle. Now Ventura has released a straight to camera video monologue offering his reasons for suing Kyle and his views on what happened leading up to and during the lawsuit:

ST. PAUL, Minnesota — A jury awarded former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura $1.8 million on Tuesday in his lawsuit against the estate of “American Sniper” author Chris Kyle.
Ventura was awarded $1.3 million for unjust enrichment, and $500,000 in damages for defamation, CBS station WCCO reports.
On the sixth day of deliberations, the federal jury decided that the 2012 best-selling book defamed Ventura in its description of a bar fight in California in 2006. Kyle wrote that he decked a man whom he later identified as Ventura after the man allegedly said the Navy SEALs “deserve to lose a few.”
Ventura testified that Kyle fabricated the passage about punching him.
Former Governor of Minnesota (and ex-Navy SEAL, pro wrestler, TV host, author and general badass political gadfly) Jesse Ventura is suing the estate of Chris Kyle (who wrote the 2012 bestseller American Sniper) for defamation. In the book Kyle claimed that he punched out Ventura after the latter publicly derided dead SEALs in a California bar popular with SEALs. The trial is ongoing in federal court in St. Paul, MN and needless to say there is conflicting testimony, reported here by TwinCities.com. In this excerpt we learn of the Governor’s loss of reputation and income:

Chuck Webber, an attorney for the Kyle estate, cross-examined Ventura for much of the morning. Webber raised many of Ventura’s own colorful statements in an effort to illustrate that the former professional wrestler and celebrity needed no help from Kyle in sullying his own name.
Those ranged from a news conference outside a courthouse in which Ventura declared he was seeking Mexican citizenship to escape the “Fascist States of America” to a book passage that described “an Army run by Christianist extremists” to another passage saying women had to expect some level of harassment on the street.
Monday, January 27th marked the premiere of Jesse Ventura’s online show “Off The Grid” on Ora.
The newest edition to Ora.TV, Jesse Ventura will be hosting Off The Grid from an undisclosed location in Mexico’s Baja Peninsula, and broadcasting into what he considers “Occupied America.”
“Broadcasting from Mexico gives me a unique perspective about the news because I’m not tainted by what’s going on in the states,” says Jesse Ventura, the 38th governor of Minnesota. “I won’t be covering something because every other news network is covering it.”
Off The Grid will offer Jesse Ventura’s electrifying insight into the nation’s most pressing problems as well as unleash the former governor’s takes on topics ranging from government hypocrisy, to corporate deception, to current events. It will also feature Ventura in conversation with the world’s leading political and cultural minds as well as fellow conspiracy savants.
“The American people deserve to know more about what’s really going on in the world.… Read the rest

“It all comes down to whether Howard will do it, and I need Howard,” said Ventura, adding that Stern’s access to satellite radio — and millions of listeners — will not only help out fundraising but free Ventura from the Federal Communications Commission.
“I can use his radio station right up to the day of the election to win this thing without spending any money,” Ventura said.
Jesse Ventura joins disinformation’s Gary Baddeley once again to discuss his new book, They Killed Our President: 63 Facts That Prove a Conspiracy to Kill JFK. In addition to agreeing that Lee Harvey Oswald was the one person who almost certainly didn’t assassinate JFK, they discuss the Government shutdown, Jesse’s plans to run for president in 2016 with Howard Stern, and his new show for Ora.tv.

A million federal employees have been laid off since the government shut down. It costs us, the taxpayers, over 300 million dollars a day. The representatives that work for us are still getting paid, even though they’ve declared they won’t show up for work. Can you imagine walking into your job today and telling your boss that you won’t be showing up to work, but you demand your boss still pays you? How well do you think that conversation will play out?
As I’ve said many times before, every American citizen deserves free health care. It isn’t socialism; it’s the right thing to do. Even though I don’t agree with President Obama on many issues, I do know that he was re-elected because We The People, the majority, wanted the Affordable Care Act.
Abby Martin speaks with former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura, about his new book ‘ They Killed our President’, going over the most compelling reasons why he thinks the assassination of JFK was a conspiracy, Bin Laden’s death, and his potential presidential run in 2016 with Howard Stern.
