What is the Last Word on the Kennedy Assassination?

Oswald? CIA? LBJ?

Will we ever get to the last word on America’s most compelling political assassination?

To get to the last word it probably makes sense to start with the man who asked some of the first questions—New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison. According to KLAS-TV Las Vegas:

Haunting questions about the assassination of President John Kennedy will be raised and explored on Friday, Jan. 31 when a panel of the best known JFK researchers meet at UNLV.

The Anti-Conspiracy Conspiracy

ouroborousWhy does the establishment media find the life and death of JFK so darn elusive? It’s been 50 years and they still can’t wrap their heads around it! Lotsa talk about the “myth” and “legend” of Camelot. Lotsa dismissals of “conspiracy theories.” And, not coincidentally, a complete blackout of conspiracy facts. I wonder why people distrust the media…in this piece on Newsvandal.com:

Ironically, the establishment media incessantly theorizes about “what ifs” and groans about conspiracy theories while the people they accuse in absentia of being “theorists” dutifully, often heroically, gather and share conspiracy facts.

Tune into CBS or NBC or ABC or anywhere around the dial, and you do not see James DiEugenio or David Talbot or James Douglass. Instead you get Chris Matthews and Rob Lowe and, most disappointingly of all, Ken Burns. They speak like people who haven’t read. They embrace a theory they haven’t questioned.… Read the rest

Roger Stone: LBJ Had Kennedy Killed

758px-Lyndon_B._Johnson_taking_the_oath_of_office,_November_1963Patrick Howley writes at the Daily Caller:

Legendary Republican operative Roger Stone claims in his new book that Lyndon Johnson arranged John F. Kennedy’s assassination, and that Richard Nixon and Johnson had a documented relationship with Lee Harvey Oswald’s killer, Jack Ruby, years before Ruby shot Oswald in the basement of Dallas police headquarters in 1963.

Stone, who worked for Richard Nixon’s Committee to Re-elect the President in 1972 and later served in the Nixon administration, claims in his forthcoming book that Johnson, then a congressman, instructed Richard Nixon, then a congressman, to hire Ruby on the House of Representatives payroll in 1947.

Stone also claimed that Johnson “micro-managed” Kennedy’s Dallas motorcade, demanding that it pass through Dealy Plaza on November 22, 1963, when Oswald, from his perch in an overlooking book depository building, shot Kennedy.

“Nixon knew Jack Ruby, hired him on House payroll in 1947 at request of … Lyndon Johnson.

JFK Conspiracy Theorists Want Mainstream Acceptance For 50th Anniversary

Dealey-plaza-annotatedIt ain’t gonna happen. Is it? Ana Camoy reports for the Wall Street Journal:

DALLAS—Officials in the city where President John F. Kennedy was gunned down Nov. 22, 1963, want to observe the 50th anniversary of that day with a celebration of his life.

The city plans a ceremony that would include readings from Kennedy speeches by historian David McCullough and military jets flying over Dealey Plaza, where the 35th president was shot.

But some who believe the assassination was a conspiracy involving high-ranking U.S. officials say their views shouldn’t be excluded from the commemoration.

“It’s absurd to move the discussion of his death to another moment,” said John Judge, executive director of the Coalition on Political Assassinations, a Washington, D.C., nonprofit that studies 1960s murders of public figures. “Our First Amendment rights are being violated.”

Mr. Judge, 65 years old, said conspiracy-theory proponents have gathered at Dealey Plaza every Nov.

Jackie Onassis Claimed Lyndon Johnson And Texas Businessmen Were Behind JFK Assassination

indexGo figure, Jackie O. was a paranoid conspiracy buff. She kept her views secret out of fear of reprisals against her family. The Daily Mail reports:

Jackie Onassis believed that Lyndon B Johnson and a cabal of Texas tycoons were involved in the assassination of her husband John F Kennedy, ‘explosive’ recordings are set to reveal.

The secret tapes will show that the former first lady felt that her husband’s successor was at the heart of the plot to murder him. She became convinced that the then vice president, along with businessmen in the South, had orchestrated the Dallas shooting, with gunman Lee Harvey Oswald – long claimed to have been a lone assassin – merely part of a much larger conspiracy.

The tapes were recorded with leading historian Arthur Schlesinger Jnr within months of the assassination on November 22, 1963, and had been sealed in a vault at the Kennedy Library in Boston.
