Traveling from Texas to Massachusetts, VICE investigates whether the country is actually on the verge of the 2nd Revolutionary War. The Department of Homeland Security classifies them as potential "domestic terrorists"; they prefer to be called patriots. As the economic crisis deepens, a growing movement of Americans is rejecting the two-party system and the mainstream media. They believe a violent revolution is imminent, and they're getting ready for it now. We meet Sgt. Charles Dyer, a U.S. Marine who has taken an oath to disobey unconstitutional orders and take up arms against the government if it becomes tyrannical — and is training a citizen militia to do the same.

Although billed by PolicyMic as 2012’s top 5 crazy conspiracy theories, I’m not sure it was in this year that most of these “theories” started, or that we won’t be hearing about them again in 2013 (except maybe the Mayan end times meme), but for the record their list is:
- Obama cooked the books.
- Obama continued to not be born in America.
- The Mayan apocalypse brought us to an end.
- The UN disarmed America as part of a “new world order.”
- The U.S. government re-armed as part of a “new world order.”

The theory states that members of the Elite, or Illuminati, are preparing for a post-apocalyptic world by building secret, underground refuges across the Ozark Mountains region of the United States, which covers parts of Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. The more sinister version of this theory has the Illuminati building these underground fortresses in preparation for a worldwide catastrophe that they will initiate, themselves. The voice-over narration describes the Ozarks conspiracy as “a conspiracy to launch worldwide chaos” and part of an Illuminati plan to “take over the world from a post in the American Heartland.”
Conspiracies regarding secret underground bases and fortresses being built and operated by the government, or in some cases, the Illuminati, themselves, have become more popular in the decade-plus since the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York on 9/11/2001.… Read the rest
“We all got a gang mentality. Republicans are f—ing idiots. Democrats are f—ing idiots. Conservatives are idiots and liberals are idiots. Anyone who makes up their mind before they hear the issue is a f—ing fool. Everybody, nah, nah, nah, everybody is so busy wanting to be down with a gang! I’m a conservative! I’m a liberal! I’m a conservative! It’s bull—t! Be a f—ing person. Listen. Let it swirl around your head. Then form your opinion. No normal decent person is one thing.” – Chris Rock
Does opposition to the EU make you an unfit parent? Her Majesty’s Government seems to think so…
Curious reports are emerging in the United Kingdom that foster parents have had children removed from their care because they belong to the libertarian inspired UK Independence Party (UKIP).
Disinfo has carried critical articles on the decline of the would-be EU Superstate previously. However, the construction of a ‘new world order’ with the founders of all the world’s major Empires at its heart is viciously, and sometimes blindly, supported by people locked into and controlled by the “left wing” paradigm.… Read the rest
Barack Obama may consider introducing a tax on carbon emissions to help cut the U.S. budget deficit after winning a second term as president, according to HSBC Holdings Plc. A carbon tax starting at $20 a ton of carbon dioxide equivalent and rising at about 6 percent a year could raise $154 billion by 2021, Nick Robins, an analyst at the bank in London, said today in an e-mailed research note, citing Congressional Research Service estimates...

In the late summer of 2008, two events in quick succession signalled the end of the New World Order. In August, the US client state of Georgia was crushed in a brief but bloody war after it attacked Russian troops in the contested territory of South Ossetia.
The former Soviet republic was a favourite of Washington’s neoconservatives. Its authoritarian president had been lobbying hard for Georgia to join Nato’s eastward expansion. In an unblinking inversion of reality, US vice-president Dick Cheney denounced Russia‘s response as an act of “aggression” that “must not go unanswered”. Fresh from unleashing a catastrophic war on Iraq, George Bush declared Russia’s “invasion of a sovereign state” to be “unacceptable in the 21st century”.
As the fighting ended, Bush warned Russia not to recognise South Ossetia’s independence.
In the world of alternative media- or rather you call it, conspiracy theory- the skeptic can usually dismiss the novel information presented based on the credibility, or lack thereof, of the one providing it. “He’s a kook!” or “Who is this lady?” are sentiments easily accepted of some of the more popular conspiracy theorists and their theories. In the case of Benjamin Fulford, however, determining the credibility of the source, and the veracity of the information provided, is a trickier proposition for both skeptic and believer, as well as those of us who like to consider ourselves “realists.”
Fulford, a Canadian journalist living in Japan, worked in mainstream journalism for over 20 years, ending in 2005 when he left his prestigious position of Asia Pacific Bureau Chief for Forbes Magazine. He claims this was due to conflicts with editors over stories that he claims were “getting to close the truth” of how the world really works.… Read the rest
"God willing, a new order will come and will do away with ... everything that distances us ... Now even elementary school kids throughout the world have understood that the United States government is following an international policy of bullying. I do believe the system of empires has reached the end of the road. The world can no longer see an emperor commanding it."
This one just won’t go away, will it? S’pose it must be true.

“We want sanitary food / Planetary conquest / Thug peoples on some hard cold body shit / Get your shit together before the fuckin’ Illuminati hit…” – U-God, “Impossible”
As a young Hip Hop head, I vividly remember the first time I heard some of my favorite emcees begin to throw out theories about Freemasonry, Illuminati and a New World Order. It was a 1995 article on Wu-Tang Clan from the June/July issue of Vibe. In addition to the normal interaction between Clan members, the following exchange between Raekwon, U-God and Ghostface Killah caught my attention:
Raekwon: “Were just building and keepin’ shit together, you know? This is Born Power hour. The Clan got shit locked down for the next five years. Right now, we’re preparing for the Illuminati 2000, which is the Masons’ plan for New World Order.
