What amazes me is that sane intelligent people have become hysterical by consuming western mainstream media propaganda designed to divert our attention away from the root cause of what ails our society.

For example, with the Ukrainian crisis shock doctrine tactics are being used to bombard us into a frenzy, the ultimate purpose for which is to distract us from the great game: Zbigniew Brzezinski’s Grand Chessboard (2), our economy’s addiction to indefinite growth, the transfer of wealth from Main Street to Wall Street (2), the resource wars, The Project for the New American Century (PNAC), the geography of energy pipelines, the misconception of American exceptionalism and how it influences our foreign policy specifically on how it relates to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the significance of war being a racket (2), and the inverted totalitarian nature of our governments waging war on information (2, 3).

Obama Is The Face Of Viagra In Pakistan

viagraIn the future, America’s textbooks will debate his presidential performance, while around the world he is immortalized as a famed mascot for sexual stimulants. Raw Story reports:

Despite unpopularity there for his frequent drone attacks, President Barack Obama is the new face of contraband Viagra in Pakistan.

Pakistan, where Viagra is banned, has a thriving black market for erectile dysfunction drugs. The little blue pills are often smuggled in through Afghanistan, and take up shelf space alongside drugs of dubious quality and origin.

Agence France-Presse, whose reporter calls Obama an unwitting “symbol of power and virility,” shows covers of the contraband drug alongside interview with merchants. Shopkeepers claim various reasons that clients buy the drugs; one explains that “they improve the duration of those who have destroyed their youth through masturbation.”

CVS Drugstore Chain to Stop Selling Tobacco Products

PIC: Calmon1

CVS Caremark, the second largest drugstore chain in the United States, has announced that it will stop selling tobacco products in their stores. What do you think, Disinfonauts? The chain cheerfully sells suitcases of beer, cheap, fatty snacks and prescription narcotics – is this an empty gesture? Apparently the Smoker-In-Chief approves…

Via the BBC:

The announcement drew swift praise from President Barack Obama, who said the move would save lives.

The 7,600 CVS shops in the US will have tobacco products off the shelves by 1 October, CEO Larry Merlo said.

The move will cost the company about $2bn (£1.22bn) in annual revenue but is “the right thing to do”, he said.

“Tobacco products have no place in a setting where healthcare is delivered,” Mr Merlo said in a videotaped statement posted on the publicly traded company’s website.

“When we asked ourselves where we expect to be in the future as a healthcare company, it became clear that removing tobacco products from our stores is the right thing to do.”

Mr Merlo said CVS Caremark, which employs 26,000 pharmacists and nurse practitioners, would be the first national pharmacy chain to take this action.

NSA Spied on Climate Talks so the Obama Admin. Could Sabotage Them

192px-President_Barack_ObamaJon Queally writes at Common Dreams:

While climate activists from around the world gathered outside the UN climate summit in Copenhagen in 2009 called for “System Change, Not Climate Change’ while demanding to be heard by world leaders, the U.S. delegation inside the talks was busy listening to something else: a steady stream of surveillance intelligence on other nations provided by the National Security Agency.

That’s according to new documents leaked by whistleblower Edward Snowden and published Thursday by reporters at the Huffington Post and the Danish newspaper Information, with help from American journalist Laura Poitras.

As the Information reports:

At the Copenhagen Climate Summit in 2009, the world’s nations were supposed to reach an agreement that would protect future generations against catastrophic climate change. But not everyone was playing by the rules. A leaked document now reveals that the US employed the NSA, its signals intelligence agency, to intercept information about other countries’ views on the climate negotiations before and during the summit.

Why FDR Didn’t End the Great Depression – and Why Obama Won’t End This One

President_Barack_ObamaAlan Nasser writes at CounterPunch:

From Cambridge University in 1932-1933, John Maynard Keynes observed a promising new U.S. president presiding over what he saw as half-baked and confused policies, while labor insurgency was mounting. Roosevelt’s measures were, Keynes conceded, without precedent, but novelty was not enough. Long-term commitment to direct federal employment was required. For Keynes, this was the bottom line. (For a detailed analysis of Keynes’s prescriptions for eliminating unemployment, see Alan Nasser, “What Keynes Really Prescribed,” CounterPunch subscription edition, volume 19, number 19, 2012)

Existing programs were not only too small, but they were also either temporary (Civilian Conservation Corps and Civil Works Administration) or irrationally tied to the severely weakened states’ ability to raise substantial revenues on their own (Federal Emergency Relief Act and Public Works Administration). CWA had come closest to the kind of commitment Keynes thought indispensable, but it suffered two fatal defects: it was temporary, designed only to help workers get through the harsh winter of 1933, and of all these programs it was the object of Roosevelt’s greatest suspicion.

If Voting Doesn’t Matter, Why Do Evil Billionaires Seem to Think it Does?

blueenergyheatherFor everyone who thinks voting doesn’t matter I’ve got two words for you: legal weed. Okay, shut the fuck up now. Thank you. My state is currently not arresting people for up to an ounce of marijuana and it will soon be sold in stores, which is the greatest victory of the people thusfar in the drug war. Guess how that happened? One, some determined folks got it on the ballot and two, we voted for it. For the record, it wasn’t even close. Why am I bringing this up? For the most part I try and avoid politics in my writing (outside of the drug war) because I tend to think it takes away from a spiritual message that should be applicable to anyone regardless of political affiliation (man are people divided on politics in this country). But I just voted the other day and once again, had to endure a bunch of commentary from idiots on the internets about how “it doesn’t matter who you vote for man”.… Read the rest

Obama Told Aides He’s “Really Good At Killing People”

barackodeathdealerObama takes pride in his work. Too bad it’s all the wrong kind of work. According to a new biography, the president told his aides that he’s good at killing people. Even if you agreed with his actions, telling the guy who tells the guy who tells the guy who pulls the trigger to deliver a payload of death from a drone flying high over a country thousands of miles away isn’t exactly an act of bravery.

Via Business Insider:

According to the new book “Double Down,” in which journalists Mark Halperin and John Heilemann chronicle the 2012 presidential election, President Barack Obama told his aides that he’s “really good at killing people” while discussing drone strikes.

Peter Hamby of The Washington Post noted the moment in his review of the book.

Obama’s Bad Week—And It’s Only Wednesday

30871_large_Obama_Watching_WideIt’s shaping up to be a truly terrible PR week for the Obama administration. How bad?

Well, The New York Times Editorial Board ran a scathing piece in response to Obama’s alleged lack of knowledge about the NSA’s activities. They skipped the foreplay and got right into it in the first paragraph: “The White House response on Monday to the expanding disclosures of American spying on foreign leaders, their governments and millions of their citizens was a pathetic mix of unsatisfying assurances about reviews under way, platitudes about the need for security in an insecure age, and the odd defense that the president didn’t know that American spies had tapped the German chancellor’s cellphone for 10 years.”

When was the last time the Grey Lady labeled anything Obama-related “pathetic”?

The Washington Post‘s Dana Milbank was similarly unimpressed with Obama’s recent claims of ignorance: “For a smart man, President Obama professes to know very little about a great number of things going on in his administration,” Milbank wrote this week.… Read the rest

3,000 Outraged Truckers Plan To Shutdown Washington, D.C.

3,000 truckers plan to descend on Washington, D.C. four days from now, to protest the NDAA’s indefinite detention without trial provision (signed into law by President Obama) as well as to raise awareness for what they perceive as continued Obama administration support for radical Islamic factions in Egypt and Syria.

Despite the limited broadcast media coverage of the truckers’ plan, it could effectively shut down the entire city’s vehicle traffic.
