This Movie Was Filmed in the Fifth Dimension

The title to this was something that was communicated to me while I was ganj-i-tating during the witching hour last Sunday Morning, accompanied by a feeling of supreme recognition. The movie they’re referring to is our lives. Friend me for magick updates on Facebook, this is the sort of odd shit that happens. Are cute pug puppy pictures coming soon? Of course they are.

The other week I decided that so as to stay away from the net a bit like I normally do on the weekends, I’d condense my psychic updates to a weekend edition entitled The Weekend in Sorcery. First weekend was interesting. The second was fucking bananas- (edited it a bit to post here, so keep that in mind, but otherwise, read on true believers):

Weekend of January 8-10, 2013 (year of the witch):

This is a rich. Went to the OM show on Friday, which was super packed.… Read the rest

Do You Suffer From Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia?

I recently wrote about the subversion of language, examining the way in which the word “apocalypse” has had its meaning changed from its true Greek definition regarding the unveiling of hidden knowledge to one of chaos and destruction. Tied into this is the subversion of a number which has become equally misunderstood thanks to the distortions of religious dogma and popular culture. The fear of this number is known as hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia.

The phobia of the number 666 (pronounced “six six six” as opposed to “six hundred and sixty-six”) stems from the Biblical reference in the Book of Revelation 13:18, which suggests the number signifies the Number of the Beast relating to Satan or the Anti-Christ. This phobia is widely reflected in popular culture and has been a staple motif of numerous horror films. It has also had an impact on politics, most famously when Nancy and Ronald Reagan moved to their Los Angeles home and changed their address from 666 St.… Read the rest

Heroic Doses (Volume I)

Maybe it was unintentionally watching the “Sterling drops LSD” episode of Mad Men on Robert Anton Wilson’s birthday, or maybe because after watching that I stumbled upon an acid themed Politically Incorrect Timothy Leary tribute from back in the 90’s featuring R.A.W. and David Cross (no shit)—but I thought maybe this week I’d delve into just what happens when I take what Terrence Mckenna would refer to as a heroic dose of western society’s pre-eminent super hallucinogen. This is the kind of thing that got me into the occult in the first place like a lot of other people, and it’s maybe a part of the reason that if I had to put a finger on where the sixties hippie movement went wrong a bit (aside from the whole government beating them the fuck down thing), it’d be that they, you know, did waaaaaaay too much acid. Not like a little bit too much.… Read the rest

Texas Town Concerned By Santa Muerte Statue’s Mysterious Appearance In Cemetery

I wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of death spell that is this statue’s likely purpose. The San Benito News reports:

The identity of the owner of an oddly-placed statue of the Santisima Muerte in the middle of the San Benito Municipal Cemetery has become somewhat of a mystery. On Thursday, two local women expressed concern with the statue and called its presence “disrespectful” to the departed. City Manager Manuel Lara agreed that it should be removed if no one claims it.

The statue depicts Death atop a crushed pile of skulls, wielding a bronze globe in its left hand and a scythe in its right. It’s also accompanied by a bronze owl perched near the base and a tag tied to the scythe that displays a crowned Winged Death dangling a heart from a string.

Dr. Antonio N. Zavaleta, a renowned expert on the occult at the University of Texas at Brownsville, believes the statue’s purpose is malicious.

“They” Told Me to Write This

Who are “they”? Good question. Grey Aliens? Beings from the Sirius star system? Harvey the white rabbit? Fuck if I know. They appear to refract differently through the nervous system of everyone who comes into contact with them. I actually started referring to them as hynagogic light entities after they started showing up in my peripheral sleep states. The whole scene started crackling right after I began performing magick. I summoned them and they came, rebuilding the structure of my soul on a near nightly basis—which often felt like computer updates being rapidly downloaded into my psyche. Seriously, that’s how it went down from my perspective, I started doing magick and they started installing the sorcerer software pack into the very fiber of my being.

This went on for months before they finally finished. They showed me what they’d been working on and of course I didn’t understand it even remotely, but they seemed quite proud of themselves.… Read the rest

Genesis Breyer P-Orridge: The Status Quo Is Always Our Enemy

Picture: Seth Tisue (CC)

In the second part of our interview, Genesis Breyer P-Orridge talks about pandrogeny, the need for the species to evolve and the best way to subvert the status quo.

Via Technoccult

When we began Throbbing Gristle we were, we being me, really angry about the inequities of society. Especially being from Britain, with the royal family and aristocracy and the really ingrained class system. Enraged by the inequity and the bigotry and the inherited privilege whether people have the skills or the qualities to exercise it.

So my approach to expressing the anger was very aggressive and enraged, furious. But over the years we’ve come to believe that there’s never a need for anger in order to demonstrate or propose change. That a friendly, seductive presentation is just as effective, if not more so. And also in a way it’s more insidious and subversive to smile and talk gently and still say something that contradicts everything somebody else has imagined to be the truth.

The Resurrection of Arthur

Back in 2011, Disinfo helped impart the terrible news that one of my favorite publications in the history of the universe, Arthur, was unfortunately closing down shop (Arthur R.I.P.) due to financial strains, but we failed to tell you the upside. It came back.

So, we’re a little late on this story actually as the new issue officially dropped on December 22nd (those crazy kids) but that’s okay because I just got around to reading the last half of it over weekend anyway. Holy rad.

Arthur holds a special place in my heart. It was the interview they did with Grant Morrison back in 2004 (super embarrassing, didn’t even know who he was at the time) that maybe planted the first suggestion compelling me towards pursuing westernized occultism and chaos magick. A few years before that point I’d burnt out completely reading books about UFO’s and remote viewing. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction fine people.… Read the rest
