Driver Killed After Ramming White House Gates Believed Obama Was Electronically Monitoring Her

miriam careyThe tragic death of a young woman struggling with mental health issues apparently was inspired by a chilling, very contemporary schizophrenic delusion: that she was trapped in a reality television show under the surveillance of Barack Obama. ABC News writes:

The woman who led police on a high-speed chase near the U.S. Capitol before being shot dead had a history of mental illness and believed President Obama was electronically monitoring her Connecticut home in order to broadcast her life on television, sources said.

Miriam Carey, a dental hygienist from Stamford, Conn., was killed by police [a week ago] after trying to ram a White House gate and leading cops on a chase down Pennsylvania Avenue with her 1-year-old daughter in the car.

According to sources Carey believed she was capable of communicating with Obama. According to sources, Carey had a family history of schizophrenia and was taking medication for a mental illness.

Conspiracy Classic: ‘Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars’

m-YwnrjrR9EAc0i5RhiPczQSilent Weapons for Quiet Wars is a classic text of the conspiracy theorist subculture: A document that lays out step-by-step a plan to conquer the world through propaganda, currency devaluation, economic shock and constant warfare, among other things. It was supposedly recovered from a surplus copy machine by a Boeing Aircraft employee, and while it was initially reprinted in William Cooper’s Behold a Pale Horse, no one is sure who wrote it (although many seem certain that it is former Federal prisoner Hartford van Dyke). In the thirty-plus years since the document was discovered, researchers have attributed it to satanists, the Illuminati, the Bilderberg Group, the New World Order and other secretive organizations. Undoubtedly, its mysterious origin adds to its sinister appeal.

If you’re not familiar with the document, you can read it here.

Eshu and the Black/Red Hat

It appears to me that paranoia is the new-ish flavor of soma frozen yogurt. It seems to me that no matter which eye you focus with, left or right, you gotta swallow that brand of pill. Or maybe that is what they want you believe? Perhaps if we view with both eyes and add a third, some clarity can be gained. Maybe the fear that fuels a brand can be tarred, feathered, and chased out of town. Anyhow, the left/right paradigm and the constant repetition of their Conspiracies have me think of Eshu. Get yourself a hat and read.

via catherinesvehla

This is one of the most famous stories about Eshu. I’ll be surprised if, after you’ve read it, you can’t think of at least one instance in which you’ve met this Trickster…

Once there were two men, fine friends who lived in the same village.

Toil and Trouble: Help Posthumously Pardon the Hanged Witches of Bideford

via Dana Matthews  Who Forted bideford witches1

A new campaign to make right the past wrongs of British witch hunts is gaining support from government officials, and you can help too.

British MP, Ben Bradshaw, has shown his support to posthumously pardon the last three women to be hanged for witchcraft in England, an act he says is “a stain” on British history.

The Witches of Bideford, otherwise known as Temperance Lloyd, Susannah Edwards and Mary Trembles, were hanged to death on August 25th 1682 after having been accused of performing acts of witchcraft against members of the town.

Temperance Lloyd was arrested in July 1682, after Thomas Eastchurch, the Bideford shoekeeper, accused Lloyd of being a witch. She was taken and held at the “chapel at the end of the bridge” until she was brought before the justices to defend herself against the charges.

Her charges were described as,

“…suspicion of having used some magical art, sorcery or witchcraft upon the body of Grace Thomas and to have had discourse or familiarity with the devil in the likeness or shape of a black man.”

Like most cases of witchcraft during that time period, the testimony was paranoid, suspicious, and mostly ridiculous.

Ricin Mailer Believed He Was Exposing Illegal Organ Harvesting Conspiracy

ricin mailerMississippi man Kevin Curtis was arrested last week after mailing letters containing the deadly poison ricin to Barack Obama and Mississippi senator Roger Wicker. Buzzfeed reveals what may be the bizarre inspiration for the plot — it would seem that for years, the hospital janitor and Elvis impersonator has been attempting to wage war against a global organ-snatching conspiracy involving the highest levels of government:

[Curtis's] writings document “the actions of…a secret shadow government in which I feel have been put into place by higher powers to be in order to hide the truth behind the illegal organ harvesting market which I began investigating in 2000.”

Curtis  wrote on Facebook:

I’m on the hidden front lines of a secret war. A war that is making Billions of dollars for corrupt mafia related organizations and people. (bone, tissue, organ, body parts harvesting black market) when we lay our loved ones to rest….we hope and pray their bodies are not violated but I am here to tell you, as long as the bone, tissue & organ harvesting indu$try is NOT REGULATED….on any level(s) whether it be local, state, federal or national………..your loved ones body parts are NOT $AFE.

A Sense Of Being Watched Is Hardwired Into Our Brains, Say Researchers

brain sense of being watchedIf when in doubt, we tend to feel that eyes must be upon us, could this help explain much of our behavior? From belief in a god staring down at us, to paranoid fantasies, to reluctance to break social norms even when no one is actually paying attention? Via the Telegraph:

The feeling that others are watching us is an evolutionary mechanism designed to keep us alert, experts said.

Prof. Colin Clifford, a University of Sydney psychologist who led the research, explained: “A direct gaze can signal dominance or a threat, and if you perceive something as a threat you would not want to miss it. Simply assuming another person is looking at you may be the safest strategy.”

The researchers asked volunteers to determine in which direction a series of faces were looking. Even without being able to clearly see where the eyes were focused, the participants felt as if they were being watched.

Sandy Hook Shooter Adam Lanza’s Mother Was A Paranoid Survivalist

Via the Independent, when preparation for civilization’s breakdown becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy:

The mother of Adam Lanza, the gunman who killed 20 children and six adults in one of America’s worst ever school massacres, was a “survivalist” preparing for economic and social collapse, it has emerged.

Nancy Lanza was a so-called ‘prepper’, part of the survivalist movement which urges individuals to prepare for the breakdown of society by training with weapons and hoarding food and other supplies. Mrs Lanza is thought to have trained her sons to shoot, taking them to local ranges.

Friends and family have portrayed Mrs. Lanza as a paranoid [individual] who believed the world was on the brink of violent collapse. “She prepared for the worst,” her sister-in-law Marsha Lanza told the Chicago Sun-Times, saying Nancy repeatedly talked about her preparations for the economic and social meltdown.

Drone Conspiracy Emerges from Indianapolis Explosion’s Ashes

Picture: USAF (PD)

Days after an explosion leveled two homes in Indiana and rendered several others uninhabitable, some conspiracy theorists are considering the possibility (no matter how remote) that a drone aircraft might have been the culprit.

Via Vice’s Motherboard blog:

Now rumors are blazing across the Internet that the nighttime blast was in fact the work of a CIA Predator drone that for unclear reasons had been programmed to take out two Indianapolis-based US military resource and payroll offices. Only the drone’s missiles deviated from their flight courses, striking the homes off of Fieldfare Way, instead.

There’s just one catch: the details have been put forward by Sorcha Faal, an anonymous blogger known for spreading incendiary conspiracy-theory laden reports through the website whatdoesitmean.com. In this case, her source is a “chilling report” supposedly circulating inside the Kremlin.
