Israel Will Attack Iran In The Fall

Well it won’t be much of a surprise then, will it? The presenter and narrator of three disinformation documentary films (the two Cult of the Suicide Bomber films and Car Bomb), ex-CIA Middle East agent Bob Baer lets the cat out of the bag, as reported by Al Jazeera:

A longtime CIA officer who spent 21 years in the Middle East is predicting that Israel will bomb Iran in the fall, dragging the United States into another major war and endangering US military and civilian personnel (and other interests) throughout the Middle East and beyond.

Earlier this week, Robert Baer appeared on the provocative KPFK Los Angeles show Background Briefing, hosted by Ian Masters. It was there that he predicted that Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is likely to ignite a war with Iran in the very near future.

Robert Baer has had a storied career, including a stint in Iraq in the 1990s where he organised opposition to Saddam Hussein.

Robert Baer Says WikiLeaks Is ‘A Catastrophe’

The Deadbolt‘s Reg Seeton interviews Bob Baer, immortalized on the silver screen by George Clooney in Syriana, about his new film Car Bomb, but equally interesting are Baer’s comments on WikiLeaks:

BAER: WikiLeaks, I think it’s a catastrophe. I mean, here our most sensitive diplomatic sources are all being exposed and it’s the trustworthiness and creditability of the United States – I mean, in terms of what it’s done to our national security is much worse than any car bomb that could possibly go off.

THE DEADBOLT: As a former spy yourself, how would you deal with your cover being blown in a leak like that?

BAER: You tighten up security. There are certain communications that are protected. The New York Times doesn’t put its sources out on the net, so why should the government? I mean, I believe in openness, too, but not in all cases.

Disclosures Confirm Israeli Plan To Depose Government Of Iran

The now infamous Wikileaks disclosure of American diplomatic communications confirms reporting by veteran journalist Seymour Hersh that the Americans and the Israelis are conspiring to overthrow the government of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, with Israel forcing the U.S. into taking action. Quoted in this fascinating Raw Story article by Larisa Alexandrovna and Muriel Kane is ex-CIA agent Robert Baer, whose new film Car Bomb has just been released. Baer told Raw Story that Israel is essentially telling the Americans to “give them money so they can set off bombs – the Mad Max approach”:

According to a diplomatic cable released by WikiLeaks, in August 2007 the head of Israel’s intelligence agency urged US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, R. Nicholas Burns, to join with Israel in carrying out a five-part strategy to implement regime change in Iran.

Mossad Director Meir Dagan acknowledged at the meeting that the American analysis of Iran’s alleged nuclear weapons program was different from Israel’s, but he insisted that the threat from Iran was “obvious” and stated that Israel was willing to take action unilaterally.
