According to new report by Cryptozoology News, a former state trooper as become quite friendly with a clan (gaggle? group?) of Sasquatches. He feeds them and says they have a language, which “sound[s] similar to Native American and Asian mix.”

via Cryptozoology News:

The man, who provided a full name but chose to remain anonymous, told Cryptozoology News that the encounters have been happening since 2009 in a remote area in the North Cascades.

“Sometimes it is just 5 to 10 minutes, other times they stay for hours,” he said. “I leave them food and they visit,” he continued.

From apples to carrots, to beef jerky, cookies and candy bars, the ex-law enforcement officer claims the creatures eat it all and leave him alone.

The man says he was looking for an old mine in the mountains the first time he came across the alleged beings in 2009.

What’s up with Texans and weird Bigfoot stories?

via Cryptozoology News:

Texas — A man claims he had multiple encounters with a “Bigfoot” creature in Marion County.

Richard, who didn’t provide a last name, said he was at his house on the Big Cypress Bayou when the events allegedly took place at 10.30 p.m. about four decades ago.

“I had a house on top of the hill by Lake O’ the Pines. I was out the backdoor smoking a cigarette,” he said last month on a 20-minute call to Nite Callers Bigfoot Radio, a radio podcast with over four years of experience covering “Sasquatch and other related mysterious subjects”.

Suddenly, the eyewitness said, he noticed a strange shape next to an oak tree.

“I saw something on the edge of the tree line. I could see it from the porch’s light.”

Curious and decided to find out what the silhouette was, Richard reportedly put out his smoke and walked out of the driveway to try to interact with the animal.

Sasquatch Screams Recorded in Missouri

What do you all think? What’s making those scream? Is it all a hoax?

via Cryptozoology News:

A researcher believes he has recorded the screams of ‘Sasquatch’ in the southwestern Missouri part of the Ozark mountains.

Randy Savig, a disabled 50-year-old that has been investigating the Bigfoot phenomenon for over three years, says the audio recorder captured the alleged screams at 10.30 p.m. in an area known as Pine Ridge.

“For the most part I do audio work,” he told Cryptozoology News. “This was the first time I have been able to catch this close enough for it to be fairly clear,” he added.

The audio file, which lasts close to three minutes, was reportedly recorded with a parabolic microphone and it represents a series of unidentified howls interrupted by dog barks and a train whistle. As soon as the train sounds subside, the howls resume.

“We were at camp about a mile away,” says Savig.

Is Bigfoot Psychic?

Frame 352 from the Patterson-Gimlin film, alleged by Roger Patterson and Robert Gimlin to show a Bigfoot, and by some others to show a man in a gorilla suit.

A small faction of the Bigfoot believers community thinks that the mysterious Sasquatch beast is an inter-dimensional psychic.

via ScienceBlogs:

With the appearance of a shaky 24 feet of filmstrip in 1967, Bigfoot stepped into the limelight, out from centuries of Native American myth, unsubstantiated yarns, and mysterious footprints. Ever since this footage — the so-called “Patterson-Gimlin Film” — the Bigfoot has fiercely entertained, spooked, and howled through popular consciousness, becoming as potent an icon of the region as the spotted owl — or grunge music, for that matter.

There are those, however, who take the beast very seriously. They claim that until the Patterson-Gimlin film is satisfactorily debunked, or the hundreds of other sightings they have under their belts reasonably explained, then they’re going to keep conducting the earnest field work that is the backbone of organizations such as the BFRO (Bigfoot Research Organization).

Mask Associated With Sasquatch Legend Returned to Native Tribe After 75 Years

A mask similar to the one recovered, via THE CANADIAN PRESS/ HO, Museum of Vancouver (C)

J.W. Burns is accused of having stolen the mask.

Hunting for an elusive sasquatch mask revered by a British Columbia First Nation has been a 16-year journey for James Leon, taking him through London, Boston, New York and Ottawa.

In the end, all it took was a question to the lady sitting next to him at a Vancouver event that led him to his nation’s Sasq’ets mask that vanished 75 years ago.

Leon was at a repatriation event for another First Nations artifact held by the Vancouver Museum when he asked the lady sitting beside him if she knew of the ape-like mask partially covered in bear fur.

“Her eyes lit up and she said ‘We were just looking at that mask the other day.’ And they were gracious enough to go get it for me,” he said with a chuckle.

Bigfoot DNA Tester Melba Ketchum Turns to Writing Sasquatch Fantasy Fiction

THUMBNAIL_IMAGESome of you may recall Dr. Melba Ketchum as the veterinarian turned DNA analyst who self-published a paper decoding what was purportedly Sasquatch genetic material. Dr. Ketchum has now turned her attention to writing fiction. In a short post published to her Facebook page, Ketchum describes the book Mystic Forest Wishes (self-published via CreateSpace – get it here.) and what got her interested in writing it:

Via Cryptomundo:

Now for news that some of you will like and I am not sure how others will react. The stress level has been incredible over the last few years, what with all of the lies and attacks that have been leveled against me. I have tried to stick with strictly science throughout this entire ordeal. In all honesty, I know so much more about the Sasquatch people. I have met many habituators also. I have stayed silent on the majority of the field data that I personally know to be true and will continue to do so at this time.

Three Oklahoma Men Arrested After Accidental Shooting During Bigfoot Hunt

6a00d8341c51c053ef00e54f1fdda88833-800wiSounds a little Squatchy to me.

Via HuffPo:

The Rogers County, Oklahoma Sheriff’s Department arrested three men after one of them was accidentally shot. Authorities are still searching for the gun used in the shooting.

According to Sheriff Scott Walton, the three men were hunting Bigfoot late Saturday night, when one of them was spooked by what he thought might be the legendary beast and fired his weapon, hitting his friend in the back.

“When you start off with an explanation like that, do you believe anything after that?” Sheriff Walton said.

The men immediately contacted 911 and met emergency responders on a nearby interstate. The wounded man is expected to survive.

Maine Newspaper from 1886 Reports Killing of Sasquatch-like Monster

20-10The Bangor Daily News digs deep into the vaults and returns with a tall tale of a vicious, hairy wild man. Take it with a grain of salt: “Wild Man” stories were part and parcel of the late nineteenth century rural press.

WATERVILLE, Maine — In the same month the Statue of Liberty was dedicated in New York in 1886, a handful of newspapers in New England published stories about a deadly encounter in the Maine woods involving what today likely would be termed “Bigfoot” or “Sasquatch.”

The story of the 10-foot-tall “wild man” with 7-foot-long arms and hair growing all over his face and body was reported in broadsheets of the time after first gracing the pages of the Waterville Sentinel, a weekly paper that no longer exists. The Waterville Morning Sentinel was established 18 years later in 1904.

Tales of these seldom-seen, mysterious apelike beasts are found in Maine folklore, according to experts, but they are more prevalent in California, Washington and Oregon tales.

Sasquatch and the Seatco Indians: Conversation with Henry Franzoni

henry-franzoniFor a while now I have had an intuition that if Sasquatch are real, they must be more intelligent than human beings. If they were simply rare, we would have gained much better evidence of their existence by now. For example wolverines are exceedingly rare, especially in the lower 48, yet they can be captured with camera traps, just like endangered tigers can be in Asia.

Of course Sasquatch might not be real, and the sightings could be some form of mass hallucination. But I do find the foot print evidence, especially ones analyzed by Researcher Jeffery Meldrum to be very compelling. The best casts seem to display traits of a peculiar anatomy consistent with what a giant humanoid might have to accommodate massive weight: Mid-tarsal breaks, different loading structure, and ankle bones further forward from the heel.

The sightings and the footprints pointed to a real creature, yet the extreme elusiveness pointed to something much more advanced than an upright walking gorilla.… Read the rest

Dr. Melba Ketchum Reveals More Bigfoot Proof

Melba Ketchum’s last batch of Bigfoot evidence received a lukewarm reception, to put it very mildly, and now she’s back with more.

Via Unexplained Mysteries:

The Sasquatch Genome Project has revealed DNA test results along with several new pictures and videos.

Funded by businessman Adrian Erickson, the five-year $500,000 study has sought to find definitive evidence that an unknown species of hominid is stalking the forests of North America.

In a new reveal this week Dr Melba Ketchum and her team have announced long-awaited DNA test results which appear to indicate that Bigfoot is neither human nor ape but a cross between the two.

“We want people to understand this is a serious study,” said Ketchum. “This creature does not follow general rule. What it does do is very different. We think it is human-hybrid. That is our theory.”

The group claims to have documented the behavior of two of the creatures in Kentucky and believes that there are thousands of them all across the United States.
