Police raid British pub in search of the Nanteos Cup, which some think is the Holy Grail.

via Reuters:

(Reuters) – British police raided an English country pub this week in search of a stolen wooden relic believed by some to be the Holy Grail – a cup from which, according to the Bible, Jesus is said to have drunk at his final meal before crucifixion.

The Grail has captivated religious experts for centuries, spawning myriad theories about its location and inspiring numerous fictional accounts from the Middle Ages onwards.

The object of the police search, which was unsuccessful, was a frail wooden bowl known as the Nanteos Cup that has been attributed with healing powers since the 19th century, attracting pilgrims and others who believe it may be the Holy Grail itself.

This article will be the final installment in this series exploring the hidden science of the Holy Grail. There is a great deal more that could be said and at some point additional information will be forthcoming. For now I believe I have sketched the broad outlines and provided some insight into what this science is about. I have emphasized the cosmic symbolism woven into and throughout the narratives. The association with matters celestial issues inexorably from the Grail narratives themselves. It is not surprising that many of the symbolic implications have up until this point gone unappreciated and overlooked by mainstream scholars who have been trained in literary exegesis but who have generally lacked the familiarity with astronomy and other sciences that would allow their recognition of a very specific underlying meaning.

There are parallels to our evolving knowledge of sacred architecture,in which the astronomical and symbolical associations are crucial to understanding the meaning and function of the ancient temples and holy structures.… Read the rest

Sangreal, The Cosmic Grail: Alchemical Evolution – part 11

Sangreal_11_coverPrevious articles in this series are archived here

Last month I discussed some noteworthy etymological connections relating to encounters between the Earth and cosmic material, as well as some of the effects of such an encounter. I mentioned that an important constituent of this material delivered to Earth by way of comets and asteroids was the platinum group metals, or PGM’s and I quoted Soviet biologist Dr. Vasilieyev of Tomsk University regarding the remarkable genetic effects observed in the post 1908 impact environment at Tunguska, Siberia, where and I concluded with this statement:

“. . . incursion of cosmic material into the biosphere can indeed catalyze extraordinary evolutionary changes, which brings us to the threshold of the forgotten knowledge of cosmic alchemy. . .”

The key word here is catalyze, which means to be acted upon by a catalyst, a substance which either causes or accelerates a chemical change without, however, being permanently affected by the reaction.… Read the rest

Sangreal, The Cosmic Grail: Sacred Language and Cosmic Alchemy part 10

It is composed of two roots: dis and aster. Dis in the Latin variously means apart, opposite, deprive, exclude or expel. For example, disabled means to be deprived of certain abilities, to disbar means to expel from the bar, disarray means the opposite of array, and so on. The root aster comes from astro, meaning a star, or stars. The meaning for the prefix dis that most pertains to the word disaster is expel, implying an association between an event bringing about great damage and destruction and something expelled from the stars!

In concluding last month’s article I quoted from 12th century Perlesvous describing the appearance of the Holy Grail: “The Grail appeared at the ceremony of the mass, in five different forms that none ought to tell. For the secret things of the sacrament should not be told openly, except by him given by God to tell them. King Arthur beheld all the changes; the last of them was a change into a chalice.”

This quote clearly highlights the protean nature of the Grail.… Read the rest

Randall Carlson – Cosmic Origins of the Holy Grail & Cycles of Catastrophe

Via SacredGeometryInternational.com

Randall Carlson is a professional designer and builder, student of Sacred Geometry and a long time Freemason. He is uniquely qualified to interpret the hidden meaning of the great masterpieces of mystical architecture. It is his aspiration to affect a revival of lost knowledge towards the goal of creating the new world based upon universal principles of harmony, freedom, and spiritual evolution. Randall emphasizes the cyclical nature of time and the periodic catastrophes responsible for the collective amnesia of our species. He returns to discuss Sangreal, The Holy Grail: Recovering the Cosmic Science of Antiquity, the connection to cyclical catastrophe and the onset of ice ages and warming periods in Earth’s history. We’ll discuss comets and panspermia. In the second hour, we speak more about grail symbolism and the mysterious red rain that came down over Kerala in India in 2001. We also talk about alchemical art and the plagues of Egypt as environmental catastrophic events.… Read the rest

Sangreal, The Cosmic Grail: Piercing the Veil – part 7

Sangreal_7_Cover_3 Via Sacred Geometry International

In the previous two months articles I discussed the remarkable phenomenon of red rain. I quoted chemical engineer and archaeologist Patrick McCafferty who concluded in The International Journal of Astrobiology that the red rain particles were both extraterrestrial and biological in nature and that their source was the interior of comets, but, as he comments, “such an image of a comet, containing a liquid interior teeming with red cells, is difficult to imagine and even harder to accept.” Yet, as difficult as it may be to accept, it appears that a considerable amount evidence, both historical and empirical as well as mythical and anecdotal, leads to such a conclusion. I followed this discussion by suggesting that such a scenario was symbolized by one part of the strange and marvelous vision of the Grail Procession passing through the great hall of the Fisher King, as described in the writings of Chretien de Troyes, ca.

Sangreal, The Holy Grail: Recovering The Lost Science of Anitiquity,

The Mystery of the Red Rain – Part 6

Last month I introduced the reader to a very strange meteorological phenomenon that occurred with surprising frequency throughout history. This was the phenomenon of rainfall that had the appearance of blood. A very interesting example of this genre appears in The Roman History: The Reign of Augustus, by the second century Roman historian Cassius Dio. In Book 51, xvii, he writes regarding events in Egypt:

“…not only did rain fall in places where no drop had ever been seen before, but blood besides, and the flash of weapons appeared from the clouds, as the showers of blood mingled with water poured down.

We left off last month with a synopsis of a portion of Chretien de Troyes account of the Grail quest. We learned how Percival became a knight in King Arthur’s court and subsequently set out in pursuit of adventure, whereupon he encounters a fisherman who directs him to a castle. Within a great hall in this castle Percival witnesses the ‘Grail Procession.’ One of the items carried in the procession is a white lance dripping blood. The grail itself, when conveyed through the hall, is overwhelmingly brilliant. He later learns that the fisherman is a king who has suffered a grievous wound which will not heal.… Read the rest

Sangreal, The Holy Grail: Recovering the Lost Science of Antiquity – Part 4

Sangreal_4That the legendary Holy Grail of western esotericism has a cosmic dimension of meaning has been the theme of three articles published in the pages of The Oracle previous to this month’s contribution. The Holy Grail story has intrigued the minds and piqued the curiosity of seekers of knowledge for centuries, without, however, yielding up either its secrets or a consensus of interpretation. We ended last month’s article with a quote from a modern exploration of the Grail mythos, Holy Blood, Holy Grail, a best seller in the mid 1980s that eventually served as the main source of inspiration for The DaVinci Code, a fictionalized popularization of certain aspects of Grail symbolism.

In last month’s article I wrote of the Language of the Birds, the secret language of Initiates, Alchemists and Adepts of the Mysteries. It could either be spoken or written. I described how it was based on the use of puns, homilies, synonyms, etymologies and plays-on- words that concealed secondary and even tertiary levels of meaning that only made sense to those with the keys to decipherment and the conceptual framework to make sense of the alternate meanings.… Read the rest
